I have Cut Out Player Faces Megapack and Metallic Logos Megapack fully updated, I have some kit packs and 3D ME kits too.

I am happy to upload the two smaller ones to dropbox, alternatively we could come to an arrangement where I stick them all on my FTP server and set you up a temporary login (you would need to ensure you download only between midnight and 7am though).

Doesn't seem to compute if keeper has the ball.
 
Once again, as with every year, I'm finding FM equally addictive and infuriating. I'm conceding goals left and right even though my defence is getting ratings of 7+ per game, and a front two that was scoring like mad last season can't even get a sniff.

But I can't stop playing it!
 
One of the patches seem to have screwed my tactic up... Was fine before and now leaks more goals to counter.

Is that 2-1-3-2-2? With all due respect, that tactic shouldn't work, so it's good that a patch has had that effect.
 
Indeed, since the new patch, my old winning tactic no longer wins. I had 3 AMC's with a single striker up front. 2 midfielders and 4 at the back. In my Charlton save pre 4.2.2 this was winning me most games in the premiership. Now it fails almost totally to games with wingers. They shoot up the side, hugging the line, cross to the striker and in. My AMC's are left twiddling their thumbs.

So I've adapted quickly. I ditched my AMC's in my new game and went with a AML and a good AMR. I've also got a central belt featuring 2 good midfielders and a strong DM. Still 4 at the back. I changed to shorter passing, slower tempo and utilised the wingers. Finished 6th in my first BPL season. Very happy. Will have to adapt slight and see how I get on in season 2.
 
I always get the feeling the game doesn't adjust to your tactics but rather if you use the same tactic to much it becomes less and less effective.
 
Obviously to begin with the tactic will work better the more your players are comfortable with it.

I kept the same squad for 2 seasons only swapping out 3 players yet the tactic just stopped working on the third season. All my players were comfortable with it and the morale was high at the start but even when I played lower league sides nothing was working. Seems the game decided I wasn't allowed to use that tactic anymore.
 
Finished exams, want to give this another go. Ideas.

- Continue with Swansea (was doing quite well I think)

- Roma
Favorite club. Might want to repeat what they did in real life, although I feel it will be a short career.

- Udinese
A team that always sells their best players. Try and actually achieve something with them in a league I know well.

- Eintracht Braunschweig
Wort team in the Bundes Liga, but it could be fun.

- Lower League Manager
Not sure where to go, although I always do low league adventures, and i want to try some 'big' clubs. Maybe Leeds?

Really torn between Roma, Udinese and Eintracht.

EDIT: Hellas verona might be good too. They have promising stars (Jorginho and iturbe) and they have just been promoted from the Serie B. In real life they are doing very well, so I can try and replicate it in FM too. Might have a go with them.

The likes of FC Pro Vercelli

The origins of football in Vercelli go back to 1892 when it was founded as Società Ginnastica Pro Vercelli (Pro Vercelli Gymnastics Society), and 1903 with its Football Division.

The first official match for the football division of S.G. Pro Vercelli took place on 3 August 1903 against the Forza e Costanza.

The club won seven Italian Football Championships from 1908 to 1922: 1908, 1909, 1910–11, 1911–12, 1912–13, 1920–21, 1921–22 and the Scudetto Dilettanti in the season 1993-94.

Due to large debts it was not allowed to participate in the 2010-11 Lega Pro Seconda Divisione and so folded.

In the summer of 2010 the club changed its name to U.S. Vercelli Calcio, Vero Paganoni remained as president of a club that today is inactive, therefore A.S. Pro Belvedere Vercelli became the new Pro Vercelli.

Started with Verona. Lost first 2 games and stopped. Not feeling it.

I did a few mistakes, mainly with staff,

I sacked a lot of old staff, but I was still over my limit!! This means I had no coaches at all.

Also, I was meant to sell a keeper, and the day the transfer had to go through, he picked up an injury. Then I was going to get a keeper on a free and sell my main one on loan (140k/month, 100% wages, 2.5M future fee, and he is valued 2.1M) and this keeper rejected. So now I had 4 good keepers, who would all do well as first choice. Wages weren't an issue, but I can't take extra players!!
 
Had a good game with Udinese I won Serie A, Italian cup and Champions league in 2nd season.

Had a massive clearout of players though, sold Borini for 22m and bought Jorge Enriquez (awesome defensive mid, paid 8.5m now value 18m), Shkodran Mustafi (beast of a covering DC 8m now worth 12m), Guido Pizzaro (more creative DM/MC for 7.5m now worth 20m) worth checking these 3 out, probably my 3 best buys in FM14! With those 2 in the middle I was unbeatable :cool:
