Guys,

I need to hire in some additional coaches to boost my training, but I need some advice please?

I need extra help in a both 'Shot Stopping & Handling' with my GK's, but these stats are not shown with coaches, so what stats do I need to look for to increase these?

Also, if I've given my Assistant Manager control over training in the opening section of a new game, how do I gain back control so I can make the changes needed?

This is the first time I've been able to play this game properly so please forgive me if these are basic questions?

Goalkeeping is the attribute you need.

DDM is always relevant though. (Determination, Discipline, Motivation). These are 'extra' stats which will improve the star rating. 20 in goalkeeping (or the stat you need) and 1 in DDM will NOT give you 5*. The algorithm to calculate the * takes a percentage of the DDM values.

You can do that in the staff responsibilities part. Click on your team name near the league (very top of page, black bar). Staff responsibilities.

I think the difference between coaches who excel in shot stopping and handling is due to their technical/tactical/mental coaching skills.

You could use http://www.fmscreener.com/online-calculator to see how many stars any coach will give you. It will differentiate between shot stopping and handling for goalkeeping coaches.

Click on the arrow next to the club name at the top of the screen. Click on Staff Responsibilities. Look at training and change the relevant names to your own. Alternatively press Control+Shift+T.

An 14 has just made his debut in the Argentine Premiership, I did scout him but my scouts don't think much of him. I have just but a different 14 yo Argentine, let's see how he turns out.

Is this game prone to crashing? I've only had it running briefly and it's crashed and closed itself 3 times, and the last time, I had literally just given my team feedback after my first pre-season friendly where I won 5-0 and it crashed, meaning I have to do it all again, hope this isn't going to be a regular thing? Older FM's like 2010 never did this (on me at least?)

I sometimes get a crash error message when I close FM down. What spec PC are you running FM on? Do you have a lot of RAM?

Assuming you have the patched up FM, I can't think of many software issues that might cause this apart from perhaps video drivers.

It will just redownload affected files as far as I know.

Yeah, that should just be able to run FM on lowest settings.

It'll only affect original game files from the FM install. Anything you add that didn't come from Steam can't be verified.

It should sort it unless it's said extras that are causing the crash...

Not sure how they went down as they have a good squad. Only won the league by +1 goal difference

I run Fm on my laptop. Admittedly it is a powerful lappy but I've noticed that if I run it using 'high performance' fm will ALWAYS crash at certain points. If I run my lappy using a more balanced power plan fm will never crash. Definitely food for thought! It suggests my laptop may be overheating,

My laptop (HP Elitebook 8440p - Core i7) gets super hot when watching matches in 3D. I'll turn the heating off next winter and we can take turns to cuddle it!

In other news, I'm trying my hand with Fleetwood. Beat Everton in the 2nd round of the Capital One Cup. Was 3-1 down in ET with ~10 minutes to go, dragged it back to 3-3 and won on penalties Playing like a bag spanners in the league though!
