******* Official Football Manager 2015 Thread *******

Well, I am still liking it. The interface has finally grown on me. I still find a couple of bits awkward to use over FM14, but generally it's faster flowing and more consistent.

The game definitely feels more difficult to me though. I've been relegated twice already which is insane. The career mode also takes considerably longer than it did before I'm not sure why. Maybe it is the new scouting engine and I am spending more time planning their next move.

There is lots to like, and I can see it improving considerably over the next few months.

I'm top of the league just heading into January. I'm boro in the championship. Realistically, playing as boro should require no player changes, but boro have league 1 goal keepers stat wise, so that won't be fixed till February which is somewhat unacceptable. Some players are absolutely pointless having as they haven't been rated properly.

Meh.
Ryan Fredericks is poor, I'd much rather loan George Green as a striker. But couldn't, as I already have 4 long term loans.

Wasted some money on a crap 20 CB due to scouting and people interested in him, and I took a pun first :p.

Got Ali Karimi joining in the next 3 days, that should hopefully be a boost. He's 36 on it, but some of his stats should make him a good impact sub.

Kind of hoping not to get promoted yet like, I want to work on some of the younger players first. Having a link with Chelsea helps no end as I've signed Boga on a season long loan (He's not great as it starts, but a decent rotation option, and training him as winger he can become useful. In FM14 and FM13 he's grown into a capable premiership player as the game progresses.

Fredericks is poor, full stop! :p He's certainly not a full back from what I've seen of him.

I think my Cambridge united side is starting to take shape (although my actual career in real life is waning!). I've got 7 Wonderkids in the team, five of which are potential World Class players. 3 of the Wonderkids are on loan to me from Barcelona, Inter Milan and Southampton (who pipped me to signing a young Romanian striker who I've now loaned from them and looks incredible). Also got a potential World Class Nigerian centre back out on loan at Twente for a few years, although I may apply for a work permit after the next round of internationals in which he'll play.

Just broke my transfer record to get this guy if for £6.5m up front and £20m over 48 months (sold a guy I picked up for free a couple of seasons ago for £7m to Spurs).

I managed to steer clear of relegation from the EPL spending less than £90,000 a week on wages last season. Despite having another £120,000 I could spend, I just couldn't find any decent players to go for, so loaned excellent youngsters on incredibly low salaries from the big European clubs.

Should probably do some work now :(

Fredericks has been a revelation for Boro in real life.
His stats in FM are criminal.

I actually though he looked really quite poor when i was up at the Riverside a couple of months ago. That said, we got hammer 4-0 so wasn't in the best of moods!

The issue I have with loan players is that it's normally the loaning club's researchers whom evaluate them. We've got Jon Toral on loan from Arsenal, and he's playing incredible well and has bossed a couple of leading Championship midfields over the past few weeks. Barcelona youth system product, in the Arsenal academy, yet because the researcher has never seen him play a league game his attributes in FM 15 are woeful, yet he's easily been one of our top performers in recent weeks.

Same applies to George Saville on last year's edition. Awfully rated by FM because the Chelsea researcher hadn't seen him play competitive football before and was rated at lower League Two standard in FM... has a blinding League One campaign in rela life as one of the better players in the division, and moves to Championship Wolves for £1m a couple of months ago.

The researchers from the club acquiring the loan player should definitely be the ones to make the final call on the attributes of the loaned player. It's ridiculous not to.

Yeah, the way the researching goes is very flawed.
Boro's team for example is radically different to last years, they've not been rated properly.
Boro don't have a keeper who's capable. Dimi is league 1 material at best. Steele's on an unrecallable loan till end of season. Mejas is the best keeper at hand, and he's woeful.

Wildschut is rated pretty poor, yet when he's had his chance, he's had a blinder.

What game did you come visit that Fredericks was playing?

To be fair Boro were pretty rubbish last season :p

Irrelevant. The team is no where near the same in terms of players really.
And they weren't "rubbish" Just lacked any killer instinct in the final third. And that's where our biggest chances have been :p.

Karanka's been a God.

Not just that, as far as FM researchers go, I feel some have gotten upset, Clayton's not as good as he should be..

Boro 4 - 0 Brentford :(

We had Fredericks on loan a couple of season ago, and Spurs were insistent that we play him as a winger, but he looked completely off the pace. Was much younger though, so maybe they've developed him into a sturdy RB.

Well you've spent a lot of money, so you should be up there.

Maybe they knew you were top at Xmas a couple of seasons ago and blew it ;)

Well Kike cost 2.7m, Clayton around 2m and that's just a couple of all the signings you brought in! Mega bucks for Championship!

We don't know if they were up front, or monthly things.

We moved on Main/Smallwood/Emnes/Jukebox/Butterfield :p. Could be more too.

Dami was free agent.
Vossen loan.
Kenneth loan.
Blackman loan.
Mejas free.
Wildschut was like 400k.

Etc etc.

Karanka is just efficient.

We got rid of deadwood ; Kamara etc.

Anyone streaming this to a laptop?

I was able to stream 2014 to mac for some bedtime clicking but when I try with 2015 it crashes the connection between my mac and host pc.

Searched on google and found nothing of relevance so thought I would try here.

guys...where's the best place to get a full face mega pack that comes in 1 file? The 7.1 complete pack at sortitouts is 7GB but in dozens of parts which is so annoying coming down thru torrents.
