Get 7.0 through the torrent, then get the 7.1 through the random file share lottery to update it. To be honest, you won't lose anything from sticking with 7.0, as the updates will likely be limited to obscure players you've probably never even heard of.
 
Encountered a loan bug which broke the loan rules in the Premiership, it glitched and I can't get players from Chelsea this season, which as Boro is a crippler.

I used Boga as my AMC, and was hoping to have him season after season until his contract had wound down.

He just went to Leyton Orient, it says his loan was unsuccessful with me....... 20 Games, 3 goals, 5 assists, 2 POM's with an average 7.01 and the team won the Championship....
 
After finally getting steam to run on my chromebook via a dual booted ubuntu I'm surprised by how performant the FM 14 demo is (forgot 15 was out)

Looking at a £20 quid punt for FM14 or £30 for FM15

Is it worth the extra £10r, or is it a bit broken due to being a "new release" of FM?

15 can be found easy for £20, as little as £14 in some places such as non league club shops

May be wrong, but doesn't a steam key come with the disk version? Probably wrong, sure I read it somewhere though. I bought my copy off cddiski for £14 steam version, had to use a vpn though which I later realised is quite risky. I never got banned though.
 
My stadium is bugged and all messed up after increasing capacity :( No fans at all in the stands at either end and all the fans in away colors cheer when I score/win. can't see any in my team colours infact.

haha that's brilliant. How come you still using the beta version?

I see a new patch is out today. Fixes a few major issues for me, so I'm pleased.

PERFORMANCE

- Optimised save game speeds
- Fixed game launch issues linked to local user permissions
- Fixed rare crash on continue

- Improved defensive reactions to crosses and corners
- Tweaked wide defending of wingers
- Improved goalkeeper reaction times after an initial save
