******* Official Football Manager 2015 Thread *******

You have to pre-purchase the game to get the beta. GMG is probably your best bet.

There will be a demo available to play, I would guess that will be out next Friday, it's usually a week before release.

Considering how poor the graphics are there really is no excuse for how poorly this runs. I've got a 560 TI and mine is running at 100%, even if I limit it to 30fps. Given how little detail there is for such demands on a relatively modern card that is inexcusable.

Granted FM ought to be stressing the CPU and RAM (though they really should be moving to 64bit and taking advantage of multiple cores now), and I'd love it if genuinely stressed a GPU to a positive means, but the actual graphics are **** poor considering how much GPU processing it needs.

I don't think its so much the 'quality' its what is happening behind the scenes. I've noticed slow-downs when the weather particles appears on the pitch. Either that or there is a memory leak somewhere.

anywhere doing it better than £30? ideally with beta access, swore I wasn't buying it this year with its crappy 32bit exe and minimal upgrades year on year but suckered in yet again

If you have an account on Greenman Gaming you can get it from their VIP club for £23. If not, it's £24 on Greenman using the discount code on the home page.

I cracked and got it. test drive on man u. The training workload of the coaches has went from light in fm 2014 to heavy (for all @ man u) in 2015, so all my players (despite the fact i got in as many coaches + under 21 coaches as possible) are complaining about bit-part training.

Are you running on a laptop? I get the occasional sparkly, but I have noticed this game runs mega hot in the ME. Much hotter than 14 did. It's obviously doing a lot more.

You'll probably smell my laptop (HP Elitebook Core i7) if I get the new version then - it starts to cook with FM14...

Downloaded and played my first two matches last night.

I am manager of Nottingham Forest, played my U21 squad first game and won 6-2 and then against Motherwell I think it was in the second game and won 4-0.

Early first impressions are that its very snappy indeed. I have used recommended settings to begin with although I know you can select more leagues and so on from the menu. I think the interface seems ok so far, takes a bit of getting used to compared to 2013! One thing I am struggling with at the moment though is transfers, as in seeing, searching for players and so on. I can't seem to work out how to do it. I seem to be able to get my head of football to recommend players, but I want to be able to search for players in certain positions at a set value, or see a full list of free agents etc.........probably something really simple I have missed but If anyone can help me out would be appreciated :)

Sorry to quote my own post, but can anyone advise? Thanks in advance.

Yeah it's quite simple. Go to scouting, and in there you have a list of players that your scouts can currently see. Ive got 612 at the moment, but then I'm playing as a semi-pro team in Scotland with local scouting. There are menus in the top half of the screen that let you search free agents and players in various positions.
