Will be up on Steam soon, we're just finalising things with Valve. Expect to see a nice pre-order price incentive as well.

Am so there - any ideas when the pre-order will be up?

Also, is GFWL confirmed? :(
If so, I really really wish CM would rethink this. Given how vastly superior Steamworks is, both in terms of interface and general gamer support, I can only surmise that Microsoft are throwing wads of cash at CM to use GFWL.

EDIT: Just seen the post confirming GFWL. Getting very fed up with Codemasters' GFWL love-in tbh - please ditch it as it's utter garbage.

+1

How GFWL is still being chosen over Steamworks is beyond me, it's just better for everybody involved.

http://www.virtualr.net/f1-2010-four-gamescom-videos/

Bottom 2 vids look very promising, wheel, no aids and someone who has a basic knowledge of the tracks driving, look a lot more sim-like than i thought it was going to.

Even though he selects low downforce for Monaco :p maybe explains why the car was dancing all over the place after the first corner.

Still waiting on part 3 of that press conference. Part 2 was just awesome in the wet.

F1game de or some other Youtube user uploaded 3 videos - 2 of them mentioned in this thread, does anyone know where the third one can be found?

Cannot wait to play this game, If only I didn't have to do a stack of resits in January. Darn you decision maths.

The devs have really talked me into becoming interested in this game. A couple of months ago I honestly couldn't have cared less about a Codemasters F1 game, but the recent batch of videos look good and the developers have been saying the right things. I genuinely believe that they've made the best game they can under the circumstances (it has to be accessible to more than just the hardcore racers, it has to work on a pad). I'm not expecting this to be an iRacing killer or anything, but if the handling is like two or three steps down from the best sims, I'll be happy.

It has to be fun to play and the car has to feel like a car. And the AI has to not suck. Which won't be easy, considering how terrible every racing AI has been since GP4, which isn't exactly perfect either.

But yeah, the game has gone from "lolzcodemasterslolz" to "I'm going to buy that game if it gets decent reviews from sim racers". That's good.

do i dust off my logitech momo force or do i just get a new wheel..... Whats the best these days? Not stupid prices mind....

Well you can't have the best without stupid prices, even then the price relative and subjective.

I would have thught your MOMO wheel would be perfectly fine, I had one and only replaced it with a G25 because I broke my MOMO.
