Steam fanboys, "I get to play it at midnight where as you have to wait for the postie".

lololol oh how the tables have turned.

Why is everybody complaining about a 6pm unlock? It was common knowledge from as soon as this went up for pre-load that it would be unlocked at 6pm, like a lot of steam games in the UK, so why is everybody suddenly shocked now?

Whut?

Most of the people that got it from Steam have been playing for the days since the US release anyway. ;)

Hi. The game was scheduled for Steam launch later today, and we worked with Steam yesterday to unlock it sooner as we thought it would be very welcomed.

All confirmations were that this was going ahead as we'd organised. Quite obviously it didn't, which hasn't been good for anyone.

I'll stay in touch and let you know when I have some new information from Steam.

Because a Codemasters official stated on the codemaster F1 2010 forums that it would be released earlier than first advertised at 3am UK time. The countdown on the steam store site also changed to reflect the above time.

Clearly Codemasters made the decision too late, rushed it and steam have not implemented the earlier release time for pre-orders.

It's effectively given false hope to those with pre-orders.

A lot of us have been playing since Tuesday through steam, so you definetely shouldn't be proud of not using steam.

Surely it cant be that hard for Steam.. "Button Push = Game unlocked".. Its not like they have to run around a factory winding cogs and tweaking generators..

its not Rocket science thank god..

Im loving this game so far. Although I did nearly put my fist through the monitor. Was 7th in a Lotus at Bahrain when I get punctures in my 2 front tyres. Not a happy bunny !

you used ilegal means. so your point is moot

I don't think what they've done to play the game early is illegal in the eyes of the law. :p

They still bought the game, they just tricked Steam into thinking they were in a country where the game was already released. I see no crime there, it isn't as if they downloaded it using torrents.

Can't see were its illegal there is nothing in steams tc's about doing what they have done to get the game to play early.

Just finished my first race for lotus.

Qually 7+5 place penelty finished 4th. 15 Laps.

At 2 points I was told Schumacer is 5 seconds a head of you. Then Alonso is 5 seconds ahead of you. Both times I was on their rear wings. lol
