Just spent the last hour playing (while watching practice ), from reading this thread I expected it to be a bit of a disaster and waste of money but it runs great, all these posts about stuttering it's as smooth as butter here (1920*1080 Ultra), infact I've not played a game this smooth in a long time. Running i7@4ghz with GTX480.
It's a fun game, far from perfect but we're not exactly awash with modern F1 games so I'll take it.

I'm currently stuck in a luxurious beach front bungalow in abersoch
Will have to wait till tonight to play, I just hope that steam doesn't mess my unlock up after I done the VPN trick
When it eventually does unlock can someone who VPN'd also, just confirm it did unlock ok for u in the uk

No I didn't, VPN's aren't illegal in any way, probably tens/hundreds of thousands of people use one every day, and nowhere in the steam EULA does it forbid you from happening to be connected to an american VPN and unlocking a game early. So no, my point isn't moot.
Doable on medium. But unrealistic. Try to get that on expert
I've been challenging for race wins on Legend AI with no aids on 30% races in a lotus, AI is far too easy.

Ha ha, no assists, manual gears, G25 and AI set to Legendary, i cant make it any harder, AI is far too easy. I have been playing sim games on the PC for years so obviously makes it easier, but just because you're terrible at the game, don't assume everyone else is.

Grid has some hidden advanced settings you have to push a button to see in the Graphics options.

Probably the button that says 'advanced'. I don't think it's really hidden, it's just an extra page with a few extra graphical options, unless I'm missing something and there really is a hidden section other than the advanced graphical options section.

It's unobvious, but not really hidden. It'll tells you at the bottom of the page which button to push to display them.

I simply don't believe you, why would it be illegal? The only reason it would be is if you're using it for illegal activities, which we weren't.
