But it automatically voids the next lap aswell which I can't understand.

?

Never had that happen for me. It just voids the lap im on.

If you make a mistake resulting in 'Invalidated Lap' in Sector 1 for example, and remain clean for the remainder of the lap, the start of the next lap should be OK. However, if you get 'Invalidated Lap' in sector 3 you are deemed to have gained an advantage for the start of the next lap so your next lap is void. That's my understanding.

I think he meant it's not exactly a pretty game, which it isn't. It's drab and bland in comparison to Grid/Dirt/2

Sounds like people are talking about two different games... have you tried turning your brightness up or adjusting your monitor?

I almost cancelled my preorder due to all the negativity on this forum, I'm glad I didn't.

Looking at actual fastest laps from Bahrain this year, my fastest was about spot on for a Lotus, just the other cars all should have been about 4 seconds faster than they were to be matching realistic times for themselves.

Code:
Rank Driver Car Fastest lap Deficit to fastest lap
1 Fernando Alonso Ferrari 1’58.287
2 Adrian Sutil Force India-Mercedes 1’59.393 1.106
3 Mark Webber Red Bull-Renault 1’59.487 1.200
4 Lewis Hamilton McLaren-Mercedes 1’59.560 1.273
5 Felipe Massa Ferrari 1’59.732 1.445
6 Rubens Barrichello Williams-Cosworth 1’59.833 1.546
7 Vitantonio Liuzzi Force India-Mercedes 1’59.906 1.619

16 Pedro de la Rosa Sauber-Ferrari 2’01.650 3.363

19 Vitaly Petrov Renault 2’04.307 6.020
20 Kamui Kobyashi Sauber-Ferrari 2’05.044 6.757
21 Timo Glock Virgin-Cosworth 2’07.062 8.775
22 Bruno Senna HRT-Cosworth 2’09.127 10.840
23 Lucas di Grassi Virgin-Cosworth 2’09.361 11.074
24 Karun Chandhok HRT-Cosworth 2’34.479 36.192

In game, with a lap of 2.02 something, I was fastest. In reality that's about the speed I should be getting, but it should be leaving me 15th+, not fastest.

ffs - i'm giving up formatting that table :p

Help!
I've got a Momo Racing wheel which the game recognises but it won't let me edit the setup. If I change the control to Custom (I believe), I can edit the input which is fine. But I can not go to Advanced Settings (which is where the force feedback settings are I hope) with either the Momo selected or Custom selected! How to I get to the Advanced Settings??

What is the massive problem with the graphics WTFFF I don't get it. It's from the people who made GRID and Dirt 2, expect those type of graphics which IMO F1 2010 is very similar to. I can't imagine what any of you guys were thinking it would look like I really can't. Everybody is overreacting to the max it's unreal.

It's typical of any largely hyped game - if it isn't absolutely beyond perfect and beyond people's wildest dreams it will get derided over and above what it otherwise would have.

Now, the bugs in this seem to be fairly bad and need sorting and I can see the point regarding the visuals to an extent but I think had this game not had such an epic build up the backlash would be nowhere near as severe.

People were told this would be epic. Videos made it look fantastic. The actual game is merely 'quite good' and despite being good, it's not as good as people were led to expect.

This is exactly why I try to avoid game hype - it never achieves anything positive.

I wish I had not bought this game now. Carp graphics, I really thought they was going to be much better than this, I feel like I've been conned. This is like a game from about 5 years ago.

Very disappointed.

I cant' see your point really.

I don't understand all the moaning and groaning about the graphics, looks good to me, its the game quality I look for.

Though it would be nice to be able to run it full screen with good frames as opposed to windowed mode with good frames....still puzzled by that one. Solutions anyone? I run a 4870x2.
