I think you have answered your own question there! CM have made a game that will (hopefully) appeal to the mainstream market rather than those that want it to be 100% sim!!!
I like it other than the annoying online connection problems!!!

I tried the ENB mod and it sucked vaginal thrush, as the framerate dropped through the floor.
Anything else out there that can make the game not suck colour wise?

Was sitting in pit looking at the steering wheel. Theres so much detail on, you can actually read what each dial is for.

Yes they can!
I was flying around Melbourne yesterday and as I came round the corner after a pit-stop, the 3 cars in front of me basically exploded and I had to take evasive action, ended up cutting a corner as a result and got a warning for it!?!?!

I don't want it to be 100% sim, but I do want a game where the AI plays fair and doesn't cheat by not having to pit or by getting faked lap times etc.
Or where you get over the top penalties which aren't that harsh in real F1. I remember their old game Toca 3 was similar.

Same here, first race pole and finished first. Then australia I got 14th in qaulifying and ended the race in 22nd. The pitting messed up even though I tried to change my strategy. But I was penalised for hitting another car.
I am useless at this game playing with Lotus at the moment on medium skill level using a keyboard as i dont own a wheel or controller, in 3 races iv qualified 24th and finished 24th... even just playing the grand prix mode in a ferrari doing only 3 laps the best i could finish is 11th

Id still pay £30 for it.
Really? The ENB mod doesnt seem to effect my frame rate at all
on my min specs machine, it turned it from almost unplayable, to unable to load. So yeah, it does make a slight difference. I recon ive dropped a few FPS even on my i5 rig.

I gather some people who pre-ordered got their orders cancelled as well. All very strange.
