It actually can't be done. I think Codies may have been working on implementing that into the game but didn't get around to doing it and forgot about the engineer telling you to copy the setup.

Well I fell prey to the corrupt data file. And I wish I read most of this thread to begin with lol. Didn't think it was cos of exiting the game after doing a Practice. Kinda sucks really. I was into my 2nd season, racing for McLaren.
Never mind, I've started again racing for Lotus this time. It sucks when you have to start all over again and the car just feels weird lol.
Hopefully I can make up ground again. Which I am. Still love this game a lot
In windows 7 right click the save game folder and there is a setting to restore previous version.
I did this and i got all my stuff back just missing a days play
Really like this game but couldnt play with my mate at all last night which was irritating as it was one of the reasons I bought the game.
Keep getting the "Connection Failed" error. However, could connect to other games although it took me a good few goes.
Any pointers? Any ports to check for forwarding on the router? Says nothing in the manual.

Can someone suggest an area that I need to look into to get this damn game working properly. I havent done a full 100% race yet, as after, say, 20 or so laps, my game seriously starts stuttering. It has nothing to do with temps, my GPU barely sweats at the game, and when I end the session, load to main menu, its fine, if I load a new race, again, its fine. It just doesnt seem to like any continious run for more than 30 mins :s

Sounds like the replay file problem some people have , find the file delete restart the game so it recreates the file then exit then make it read only.
Time to get the G25 out!

Made me laugh that during practise 2 this morning Holly Samos was talking about how the mercedes drives don't like the pit entry. Ironically the night before me and 3 mates had been playing there. Due to an incident on the corner before, 3 of us went side by side into the right hander, with me in the centre and guy on the left wanting to go into the pits.
Not knowing where the guy to the right of me was, I cut him up and he went into the right wall, flicked back out and hit the guy on the left who then hit the wall between track and pit. Both of their vehicles were totally destroyed and it wasn't until I was in the pits did I work out what the hell had happened. The guy on the right later admitted that he saw it coming and had time to back out, but due to the incident on the corner before thought he could duck underneath both me and the guy to my left...
....wish I recoreded the incident using FRAPS now! We also had issues last night with tyre choices. In a 10% race, it's still easy to end on red tyres. At the start in Brazil it also looked to me that my mate ahead in the Force India was using softs, but he told me he def had primes on :s

Me and my mate managed to pick up probably two of the last Xbox Steering wheels in the country from Argos yesterday - not sure how they compare to the fanatec and the logitech offerings but its really increased the enjoyment for me.
Really tempting to stick them on Ebay for the stupid money they are going for, as we only paid £60 quid each for them, but I'm pleased I didn't.

Codemasters posted an update today, looks to be all wrapped up and waiting deployment:
Slightly concerned there have been no updates to the list of changes. Still no word about fixing Sector 3 times!
