I'm well pleased. With high settings in time trial I was getting 41fps average. Though my benchmark shows 41 with high and ultra, in time trial now, with ultra, I'm averaging 51fps. \o/ Not as high as some others here, but good enough.
Ok I think I cracked it, but my results are:
Average: 43fps, Minimum: 38fps, Samples: 5478
But Im running a crossfire setup, and the results are not much higher than the post above (whos running a 4870 according to his post).
Any thoughts?
Does Cat AI make a difference to fps?[/QUOT]
I'll run it again.
<results samples="7593" min_fps="54.553612" av_fps="61.597519"
all on ultra. 1920x1200. 8xaa. on the driver pannel ai set to advance
Hmm see that probably sounds more like it to me. It seems this game doesnt like crossfire setups and a 5770 is about 50-60% performance of that of a 5870. So an average of 61.6 vs my average of 43 sounds about right... as far as I can see.
I think the lastest drivers with hotfix has fixed proflies for f1 in xfire.
I'm going to go back to DX9, I'm having problems with shadows and sudden frame rate drops in Australia and Kuala Lumpur for no apparent reason. Going around these tracks I have a frame rate in the 40's but then suddenly on the last few corners of each track it drops to a slide show then back up once on the pit straight, very strange and difficult to race through.
The shadows are also flashing on/off at random times during a race which seriously puts me off. It seems to get worse the further into a race I get as well.
Anyone else have these problems ?
I get similiar on DX11, i'm fairly sure my card is faulty and has massive issues playing DX10 and 11 games though, so I was expecting it in F1 aswell. DX9 is fine though, just can't be bothered RMA'ing it.
I'll be honest here, my heart just sank when you said it's your card. My card is only 6 months old and I hope it's not that, I don't think it is though because it shows no signs of graphical artefacts in others DX9, 10 or 11 games. Fingers crossed anyway.
