An i7 seems way over the top. There isn't anything that even pushes my Q9550 past about 75%.
I figure, I could buy it on shopto and save a few quid now, but I know as soon as it hit less than a tenner on Steam I'll snatch it up. In the long run it's cheaper for me to just go to Steam now.
Wooo haven't been around in a few days. Seems things have really progressed with this, reviews and all
It's shaping up to be an enjoyable game. lol at the i7 recommended cpu. Someone's just typed that in there for the lulz.
£26.99 is a very reasonable launch price for Steam. I honestly thought it would be £30 at the minimum. Well done to CM for getting that price.
i7 is a bit, erm for me. I'm running a i5 on both my laptop and desktop, both my laptop and desktop has 4GB and desktop 5870 and laptop 5650, so thinking the laptop might not cut this at 1080 but should be ok at 720, desktop should be able to cope with 1080 hopefully...
Still really considering the PS3 version as well... Be well wicked to **** on the sofa with PS3 controller in hand and just enjoy a single player game in the living room using a 42" plasma.. Sounds good to me.

They set the price, not Valve/Steam. Just goes to show what happens when you don't have to go through some ott greedy publisher.
But you can get a boxed copy for 19 quid
Boxed copy doesn't include a digital copy.
I still get the impression that this is very much a rushed project that has been battered through as a prototype to 2011 which seems to be the one they will be touting for bigger things. I remain to be proved wrong, but am still sceptical.
Make an ISO from the dvd and you have a digital copy

Now it's a case of adding parts to it for 2011. I'm not saying this game will be rubbish; recent Codies racing games have been brilliant (if, in my opinion, you just pretend FUEL doesn't exist) and this one will be no different. Looking forward to it!
Plus I would rather get to play it this year and not wait til next!

You don't have to pretend too much. Fuel was developed by Asobo Studio and only published by Codemasters.
+1
There hasn't been an officially licensed F1 game on the PC since 2002
Sony won the license as such F1 was a PS2 exclusive from then on
