To add friends, you can either login to the site and add people there, or once you're in game push the "Home" button to bring up the in GFWL overlay and do it through that.

I understand why they dont do cross platform FPS MP games, but for a racing game, there shouldnt be any advantage to a particular platform.

I was thinking the same. The whole mouse/keyboard vs controller argument doesn't stand. Probably just difficult to implement. Perhaps in F1 2011?

Just received my Logitech EX. Really good quality for the price! Takes a lot of getting used to, but it is encouraging that it works well in Grid. Will take while until I am setting better times on my wheel vs the xbox360 controller, but it certainly adds to the immersion!

Yeah my GT in Dirt 2 gives you a good work out. lol
Looks really good for £40! I think I'm going to get one myself for the PC and then my switch from 360 to PS3.

The grips feel really good too - not cheap at all. The settings like deadzones need a little fiddling in game, but I can't be bothered to mess with them too much until I get F1 2010. I think this is the reason in grid why I don't get a response when turning the wheel near the centered position (the motors inside engage and the calibration software detects the movement - so definitely fine tuning needed). Hoping in F1 2010 I can just use the force GT profile or something similar in-game. Might try Dirt 2 next...
Edit: Just tried Dirt 2. OMG that was good. On my first two runs I blitzed the times I used to get with my controller - you can be so precise though the corners. Considering how much improved the handling in Dirt 2 is over Grid, I am a lot more confident about F1!

First in anticipation of this game I have tried; rFactor F1 mods, GTR evo F1 mods.
By far the best is GTR Evo (graphically), although the tracks are not as good as conversions fron GTR (i.e. SPA) dont seem to work correctly (too bouncy). However I prefer rFactor as it is easier to mod and just seems to work without as many issues. However getting online is harder I have found, I intend to join the OCUK racing team.
Also, here are the F1 2010 achievments;

May well do in the future. Haven't got a huge amount of time free at the moment. But as settle into using the wheel I am becoming more and more tempted
