Exactly, if Grid (I'm getting used to it and like it now!) and Dirt are anything to go by, this game should be top notch.

Agreed! They make the most enjoyable driving games I have ever played so am looking forward to this very much as well.

can someone please confirm that you can actually race for the full 77 laps? all the videos I've seen have been 5

I may take a days holiday on Friday

getting the pit stop right can make or break a drivers race in F1, so removing that variable is removing a big part of the F1 driver experience IMO.

Not really that big a deal now is it without fuel stops, last year it was more crucial the team getting it all right but hardly anything major on the game.

Well... if they allowed you to take off before the lollipop man lifts the sign, or perhaps the lollipop man lifts the sign prematurely? (these things have decided championships e.g. Massa in 2008).

Would've been nice if they were included :)

And yet their absence will barely be noticed by the majority of players outside the hardcore and even they will have forgotten all about it after a race or two.

It is becoming truly pathetic the things this game is being ripped over.

The level of reality that some are asking for is just beyond stupid, let alone unachievable, especially on Codemaster's FIRST ATTEMPT at an F1 game which from everything we've seen so far they have absolutely achieved on.

I ask the small vocal minority who feel the need to criticise everything they personally feel the game needs to SHUT UP until Friday when they will at least have the opportunity to test the game for themselves. If after this the majority agree that automatic pit stops ruin the enjoyment of races, or the fact that a Hispania can run at the front, or the fact that the engines sound the same on each car (good god, seriously?!), or that even on the hardest settings with all aids off and the AI on hardest the game is still really too easy.... then maybe the game just isn't for you? Maybe I would suggest something like rFactor with an F1 mod? Or possibly iRacing? Or even Live For Speed?

Honest to god sometimes you would swear the membership here had an average age of 12. I'm all for having your own opinion and I am the first to respect a vaild one, but Jesus H Christ, you haven't even played the game yet. Give it a chance.

The poll does seem pretty ridiculous now to be honest. I wonder why the pre-orders for a digital copy have shot up and overtaken the retail copies by loads in the last few days...oh wait.

how many times. FULL RACE DISTANCE !

Can you race 12-15 lap races though? Ie. is it some silly console setting like 1/3/5/7/full or can you set it from 1 lap to full with small intervals? I've always played around 15 lap races in F1 games. Just long enough for things to settle down but so that the session won't last for hours.

10% steps as far as i can see, i can see me doing 30% distance races in the career mode. I could be totally wrong though.
