Not quite the place for this but...:p

I have a glass desk so getting a wheel with a clamp is a big no-no and force feedback will probably destroy it. Are there any wheel options for me at all if I find myself unable to play this on keyboard/controller with sufficient happiness (much like GP4)?

There are wheels that come with mounts that you hold between your legs, but I find them rubbish to use. An Xbox360 controller is probably your best bet.

I got the same problem but I think I still got some mdf board ;)

if its a decent quality glass desk it should be fine, something like a mouse mat under the clamps to clamp on rather than straight to glass.

The Official Launch Trailer:

Slightly disappointing for an "official launch trailer", quite a few of the textures early on looked terrible. And they've gone to such a length to motion capture the mechanics and yet miss out every shadow produced by the person.

Urghhhh!! What a shame they used a geordie for the engineer. Terrible. I feel sorry for Massa as well having Rob Smedley and his northern accent, no wonder Massa can't drive anymore. Truly terrible :)

Hmmmmmm wonder how well I can drive with a keyboard?

I remember the good old days of Geoff Crammonds F1GP, GP2 and GP4 using keyboard. It really was a learning curve to get the turn in right etc but I loved it. Also the first game I played over a network along with Doom. I was playing network games with my dad when kids in my school had no idea what a computer was, amazing to think that was 20 years ago now.

Anyway, pro-order is on its way, looking forward to it!

Woop my order has also dispatched :) I'm at college all day tomorrow boooo :(

What's the chances of it plopping onto my carpet tomorrow ?

I find the XBox pad great for Grid and Shift etc. I have a DFP now though which I got cheap off a mate, really want a G25/G27! It's just like playing on the console and the game will more than likely recognise it instantly and default to XBox controls so you'll get that same experience.

Plus, when you get a wheel you'll be able to really compare the two and see how you prefer it :)
