***Official Formula One 2011 Thread***

I'm so close to giving in after I promised myself to stay clear after the farsical F1 2010. Most early reviews/first looks sound quite positive though.

Conisdering getting it for the PS3 instead of the PC this time around though (as I raced with a PS3 controller anyway). Anybody know of any differences between the two versions or will they pretty much be the same?

Why don't you just wait and see what people complain about on the official forums rather than getting an illegal copy of it? Theny you know to buy it or not.

That's not what he's saying. He's advising that I buy it legally on disc, but instead of having the disc constantly in my drive (which I really don't want), just "acquire" a no-cd file to play the game. In essence I've installed the game with the correct license key and what not...just by passing the use of the disc.

I will admit, when F1 2010 came out, I did get it for "free", but when it went down in price on Steam (I believe it went down to £15 or £10 at the time), I bought it and have since entered the key for it to play it legally.

There are people out there who do a similar thing. But for £17.99 you definitely cannot grumble. Beats £27 on Steam :)

Any specific news on how time trial will work in terms of using DRS and KERS?

Has anyone said they will be doing a time trial thread? I'll be happy to start one if no one else has claimed it.

From one of the above "impression" posts:

Then again dont forget the DRS, as in qualy and practice you can use it anywhere you like, combined those do and I did a easy 1:24.. the sense of speed and handling is sooo much better from the F1 2010.

Graphics and price.... £17.99 from play or shopto otherwise about £29.99 for PS3 version....

still say it should have been an add-on for 2010
2010 was a massive disappointment and these new features should have been presented as a reasonably priced dlc.

if it turns into a cash cow, there is no way im buying it yearly.

wanted on steam ideally if i get it at all.
after last years poor effort, this one may be a christmas sale job if I get it at all.

I was under the impression that codies weren't doing hard copies any more?

UK is getting a retail version of this they did not bother on Dirt3 though only EU got it on DVD-Rom guess that did not work out too well for Codies now this is definately getting a physical copy in UK!!

You can pre-order on Steam right now but as always its more than the retail pre-orders!!!
