***Official Formula One 2011 Thread***

Yeah I know :) Just they didn't add the removal of the gravel trap from Spa but I'm guessing they can't miss something as big as our home grand prix having a new pitlane? :D

On that note, I really do like the new pit lane silverstone has, it's almost like driving through a tunnel due to the high walls.

I think this is looking like a cracking game. The pit stop looked spot on.

The fight with the Toro Rosso after the pit stop is fantastic :) Officially looking forward to this now.

Its when people make mistakes that shows how good some things are. At the start of lap 11 he uses DRS and KERS on the straight, and then attempts to use his normal braking point for the chicane, and overshoots.

Going to run out of buttons on my wheel though! DRS, KERS, Gears up/down, settings changes and a button for Teamspeak!

The one at "rivage", last year it had a gravel trap around it, this year it's been resurfaced just to have tarmac. I only remember this due to Brundel moaning about it each lap :p

Ah yeah. Its not completely gone, there is still a gravel trap there, its just there is about a 5 meter tarmac run off before it.

Hi does anyone know what wheel they are using. Looks like some Logitech G25/G27 but with an F1 wheel replacing the standard?

Cheers,

Apparently some shopto people who ordered from shop to have already gotten theres dispatched. Mine isn't :(

There's also gonna be a live stream.

Shopto are excellent with preorders, shame you havent gotten yours yet.

Sucks that I can't play this until at least 30th Sepetember - I am having a lot of fun away at the moment though :)

Goddamn, shopto emailed me on the 10th with the price change from £23.86 to £19.85, so I decided to finalise my pre-order and pay. Now I discover they've reduced the price to £17.86.

I paid for mine when it was £19.85 too. I believe they credit your shopto account with the difference if you have already paid, you'll just have to remember that there is £2 sitting there when the time comes to buy a new game. :)

Be happy. I paid £24 and literally two or three days later it had dropped to £18. IMO those that paid the higher price should take priority, but Shopto say priority is given to those who pre-ordered earliest, regardless of whether they paid in advance.

I'm thinking of buying F1 2011 but I don't have a steering wheel.

I've looked at the Logitech G27 but its a bit pricey at around £200. If the G27 is the best option then I might bite the bulllet.

Any recommendations?

If money is tight then a 360 joypad will be perfectly fine for this game. If you really want a wheel but are not willing to pay for a G27 then the Driving Force GT is quite popular, I'd personally buy it if I had the money and the space.

Edit: Beaten by Murray, the filthy sloot! :p
