I probably couldn't could maybe get 1.38.xxx but Legend is really hard this year so some of the pro drivers probably could.

Default FOV looks a lot better on this game compared to last year's. I don't know what it'll actually be like in person (will have to wait until Thursday/Friday), but every video I've seen indicates that it is much better.

How is the FOV for you, Murray, compared to F1 2010?

So, wait. Are you guys connecting via the VPN, buying the game on Steam and then downloading it? Can you then revert to not using the VPN (after the UK release date)?

Anyone? Sorry if I seem impatient, but I'd love to get my hands on it. Just not if there's any real risk to it.

OVerall i do much prefer f1 2011 handling, cars feel alive this year, loads of time to be made up in braking zones as this seems to biggest change imo.

I guys. Going to bite the bullet and get this preordered from shopto.

Any recommendations for a decent wheel? With F1 2010 played with a PS3 controller but quite fancy a reasonably decent wheel. Nothing to extravagant though.

At the moment I'm considering the Thrustmaster F430? Any others worth looking into at around this price point.

I have a f430 nice wheel and good pedals for the price. Haven't tried the DFGT to be able to compare but what stopped me from getting it over the f430 was the pedals that have been described as being like buttons because of the lack of travel and force required to use them.

Cheers for that. The F430 and the DFGT are the two that always seem to pop up at around this price.

Any reason why that is this year?

It was like that this year as well. No double diffuser. Then much later in the season, Silverstone? the blown diffusers were taken away so going down the gears had to be done more carefully. Less stable rear end because of it.

That was only for the one race at Silverstone, though; they reverted back to the Valencia configuration when they went to Germany (hence why the Renault still sounds like "a bag of nails" or whatever you want to call it).

Once you unlock F1 and go onto it just put steam in offline mode and turn off the VPN.

It uses GFWL for everything else.
