Is no-one elses crashing randomly on the loading screens?

I have updated blue ripple sound drivers (rapture) tried the latest Nvidia beta drivers, tried opening all menus in windowsed mode and it still randomly crashes when loading up a game. Should I try changing to DX9 mode? What does DX11 offer over DX9?

I solved the problem by using Software sound instead of rapture (yes i have the lastest rapture)... Over 2 PC systems ive had this issue with Dirt 2, Dirt 3 and now 2011...

Im trying that system variable thing on your first link, been a couple of hours so im happy...

I uninstalled Rapture drivers, loaded up a race andit crashed on the first load screen.

I paid £30 for this through steam and cant even play it.

What else can I try to get this working? I tried the new 285 nvidia drivers and the same thing happens

CM has had this problem over most of their racers, they will deal with it the same way they done the rest... By ignoring everyone on their forums that moan about it ;)

Sorry mate, im in the same boat as you though :)

I can't get over how good the braking zone is on Suzuka compared to 2010. It's great you can now brake well past the 150 meter board for the little right/left chicane to the finish.

Very annoyed with the performance issues from this game. In F1 2010 I got a solid 60-80fps but now i get 30-40 from 2011.

i7 920 @ 3.6Ghz
6GB RAM
4870x2

disabling crossfire does very little. Crossfire profile for 2011 is in the works but until then I'm not even going to bother playing. Same thing happened to Starcraft 2, my friend with a single 4850 was getting more FPS than me, eventually Blizzard said they don't support crossfire of SLi.

Might as well migrate to console gaming with all the issues and problems originating from PC gaming as of late.

Had a proper go of Suzuka last night, it's a blast ain't it :D You can actually abuse the degna's now, and when clip the apex of the hairpin it's great :D

Anyone tried the new Indian circuit? Just had a blast and i find it great, has a brilliant flow on sectors 2 and 3.

Current sat at 5th on the TT leaderboard.

Had a wee go in multiplayer with a few guys and we all found it was brilliant !.

The difference in pace between the cars is so vast lol, compared to F1 2010.

No matter how hard I try, I can't get any higher than 19th on most tracks on hardest difficulty in qualifying. Virgin/HRT/Lotus always like 3 seconds off the next guy :D

Race isnt so bad, you can pick up a few places on the start and then a few more here and there, but qualy is killing me.

Anyone know what frames i can expect on my new Qosimo 770-107 (GTX560M) laptop?? (currently running F1 2010 on @1920~1080, with setting on high, shadows medium, and no AA. Getting about 57 frames in bench mark, 40 in game (race). Is this MUCH more taxing on GFX than 2010 edition

thanks

Ant
