***Official Formula One 2011 Thread***

u need to dload mumble first and make sure u set up your mic =press to talk. we use the ocuk server.then just join f1racing channel.they are a good friendly bunch of lads and have had some super races so far.just need to add one of us to gfwl so u can join the race.

I haven't got a mic so I guess that's not me playing then. I don't know why they didn't include a simple text chat in the lobby for this game.

Gonna connect and see if there are any places up for grabs. Just don't think I am rude if I don't respond to any questions since I have no mic. ;)

Yeah don't worry about not having a mic, being on mumble kinda helps a lot though, particularly if being lapped (happens to me a lot :p)

Just went online there in a mini grand prix!! Bloody hell, is the suspension thing still on the go?

Got a 1.08 at Sao Paulo and a giu got a 1.04!!! Plus the amount of side swiping online is ridiculous! Used kers to get a good drive out of the second corner, running alongside the leader and he just side swiped me into the grass!!!

Looking forward to a good race tonight! Never done anymore that 20%.. Lots of juice rqd I guess :)

Do I need to tell my live account in order to connect to the game server? Or is everything done though mumble? I am connected to mumble atm.

This connection lost problem during a race is a disgrace. God knows how long it'll take when Codemasters fixes it.

The main reason I am cautious about online races over 20%. It won't ever get fixed, along with the long list of other problems that have plagued the Ego engine in Dirt, Grid and F1 and have never been resolved.

Thanks for the race guys!!

First ever 50% one!!

Thought I did pretty well, great tussle against Murray at the end!

Bloody stupid pit crew fired two sets of primes on instead of fiting options at the last stop!! :(

Have to say though, I'm sweating like a xxxx in a xxxxxxx !

Yeah great race, 50% is so much better lots of action. Strategy actually plays a role in the races with is fun (of course until your pit crew puts on the options when you wanted primes for the last stint ). We should do them more often.

Why are some of you guys actually disconnecting? Is it a problem with the game or your internet because I don't think I have ever disconnected form a game.

So, did Codemasters learn from their previous errors?

Held off at launch having felt burned after F1 2010.

There are bugs for sure, but it is a far superior game imo.

The tyre modelling, DRS, KERS and the new handling model all make it one hell of an exciting racing game. Just wish I had more time to play it!

What causes it? qualifying lasted well, 7 laps or so the race lasted, then bam. I think 12 people were in... by the time my second invite was remaining, I only saw 7 people left on track. It's totally sporadic. I've been unable to complete many events because of it, that it feels like it's becoming pointless now... not even a slowdown... lag or anything of the such. It's like someone just pulled the ethernet plug.

Even tested the ports just in case. Feels like all I ever do is jump in and out of rooms than actually playing.
