Currently at 360x9 with a DIMM voltage of 2.3 and Vcore of 1.42 with RAM timings of 4-4-4-12
Latest BIOS and everything but I dont seem to be able to get any further
These temps are at idle and they jump to 50ish when on load. Have a new northbridge and HSF coming soon so im hoping they will make things more stable.

No replacement needed - just a little air flow over itMoNkEyMiKeY said:Damn you can fry an egg on that northbridge. Recommend a good replacement?
the issue is using non standard coolers as the NB/Chipsets are cooled by air from the hsfDuke said:No replacement needed - just a little air flow over it

Set the fan control to Legacy and PWM in the BIOS and the fan should stay at a nice steady 1000RPM or so.Solari said:Stupid question - what do I need to set the fan control to in the BIOS to enable SmartFan in EasyTune 5? I don't seem to be able to get it working and I'd like to see how well it performs rather than having my Freezer Pro 7 on full whack all the time... at least until I get a Tuniq!
Alternatively...I don't like EasyTune so is there a way to set a mininum RPM in the BIOS and a threshold upon which to whack up to full pelt?
Cheers!
I also bought the NR RAM but had loads of problems with it. I eventually RMA'd it to G-Skill citing my problems with the DS3, even though I had seen posts by their own technicians on another forum saying that it was compatible with the DS3. Strangely enough, the NR ram they were posting about was 1.8v which I found curious.serenity888 said:i've also got the NR ram which i so regret of buying. i got most of my components when i was in the far east for a holiday last month. i didnt know much the ram but thought it being gskill it should be ok. at the moment it maxes out at 450fsb (2.1V ram voltage) for a 6300 but i know the chip is ok at 460fsb as it runs orthos fine. it fails on the orhos blend test so it must be the ram. what gets me the most is i could have got corsairs (micron d9 chips) for only 7quid more! but thought the gskill will clock just as good
