***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

This can't be a coincidence, played a few times today and each time felt really sick and had to stop. not had motion sickness on PC games like ever..

Anybody else getting motion sick with this game?

Simulation sickness?

Try playing around with an FOV settings as that is supposed to help.

Ok so found the benchmark tool was stuck around 70fps using the nvidia recommended settings. just need to play around with sensitivity now but that will have to wait until tomorrow now :(

yeah it is a right ****ing pita to get multiplayer going nice and smoothly!

Think I am going to spend a few days on single player now, think I may have played a bit too much MP today lol

Just started the MP tonight, did the tut missions and a couple of races. However...

My god... The loading between missions in the online multiplayer is mind numbingly boring! It even takes as much time going from the mission quitting out back to multiplayer :(

...this is really annoying, sometimes I thought it had locked up it took so long! Possibly get better in time once server load dies down from the initial surge/additional capacity added

Wasn't aware of any FOV settings?

Is there a way to use the simple view minimap when driving? The slanted 3D view minimap is horrible.

Have to say Im amazed how well it runs, get the odd dip here and there but it really runs great. Cant decide wether to leave DoF effect on or off, sometimes it looks nice other times not so much.

Yes very much so!

Here's a few tips, Go into your settings, use the down arrow to scroll through all the options

Turn off all the camera options OFF, more especially the one that levels the camera when driving. Otherwise the camera will keep centering and leveling when driving.

Adjust FOV to max, however this is only for first person view :(

Turn off Post FX, this turns off Motion Blur and DOF

Turn off Headbob, however this doesn't turn it off completely as you will still camera head bob when running. I've asked Rockstar support about this

It wont cure it, I still get it, but it wont be as bad

Fixed the AF issue. Seems it breaks when you start the game and its not full screen and you have to press alt and enter to get it full screen. I'm not sure but I think it might been avast. Usually ivdisable it but seems it was on.

When you start GTA v and it starts full screen with no hitching then AF works OK.

Just in case others have the same problem. Restarted PC as well then disabled all background stuff and avast then started it and was fine I.e no windowed start. Went full screen first time.

At what point do you transfer your account if you've already played on 360?

It prompts you at character creation when entering online for the first time. You have to have linked your XBOX/PSN accounts to your Social Club, and then use the same Social Club for your PC version.

Just had a good four hours playing there and my god, it is amazing. I have only played the SP, even though a few requests popped up online but I am thoroughly enjoying it.

Silky smooth also :D

Small break, then back on it for another 3/4 hours and that will be me done for the night.
