***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

Can someone please help me get latest Reshade + Sweetfx 2.0 working with GTA V please on Windows 10 please. It was working yesterday when I had the game running, now every time I launch the game I get the notification top left of screen stating Reshade failed then a line of text in red. I've tried reinstalling the latest reshade + sweetfx 2.0 multiple times, renaming the ReShade64.dll to dxgi.dll but nothing seems to work. When I run the ReShade setup tool that and point to the GTAV exe manually it says it can't copy ReShade64.dll

Nothing seems to work, but I know I had it working flawlessly yesterday. So freaking annoying. Can anyone that has it working on Windows 10 please repeat the steps here and tell me what files you download, copied to the game folder etc

Hmmmmm ok thanks guys. Weirdly I've never had it before and I play a ton of gtav, I'm only experiencing it since I've updated to Windows 10.

Last night was the first time I have ever seen it as well. Because I changed a few things last night at the same time I'm going to try and diagnose it a bit further today to see what exactly the issue is.

I'm hoping its not msi as I need that whilst playing with settings again.

And in regards to sweetfx - I'm using quentins settings with reshade and literally just downloaded, extracted to game directory, updated the .cfg file with the proper settings (literally copy all and paste all) and run the game.

How come some cars cannot be damaged or stolen? Its says something like "This is a personal car and cannot be accessed"

I guess these are players cars, if they are left on the street then they should be available to be stolen in my opinion. If you have a good car wouldn't it be in a secure garage

They are personal vehicles.

You can choose who gets in or not via the settings in game.

There is also a penalty for destroying them as you pay their insurance and for some vehicles that can be fair sum. .

They are left because either the player is off on a jolly somewhere or they have been killed and are waiting to re spawn.

Or they are waiting for someone to try to get in it and snipping them :D

might be just an anal Windows 10 thing. Are you on Windows 10 now mate? Which Reshade, the latest one with Sweetfx 2.0? can you take a screenshot of your GTAV folder please?

I am indeed yeah. Did a complete fresh install of my OS ssd and game SSD so when I reinstalled GTA I put sweetfx within it before launching it for the first time - worked perfectly. Last night - issues but it was fine.

Anyway im using Quentins Realistic Awakening Reshade https://sfx.thelazy.net/games/preset/3450/

And here is my game directory:
3BKsEp9.jpg
And what is within the mod(before game directory)
2Jsmx1t.jpg

And whats within my sweetfx cfg

Any others having this issue?

No MSAA, I have FXAA along with sweetfx and all the settings are on near max except grass, shadows and the advanced settings.

Tried turning;

sweetfx off
FXAA in game off
changing from borderless to fullscreen
various settings in AMD CCC

But still getting that shimmering/flickering effect :(

Anisotropic filtering related I think, this combined with the pop ins are my only real niggles with the game at the moment

Glad to see it isn't necessarily related to just AMD.

And yup, same for me, game is perfect except for that and the texture/world object pop-ins.

The annoying thing is... there was zero texture pop-in (at least not noticeable...) and zero shimmering 2 or 3 patches ago! :(

Hopefully they will fix it next patch, which I think will be coming soon, hopefully....

Even though there are "technically" better cars.... The zentorno is still my fav

guys finally fixed the issue with Sweetfx and Reshade not injecting for me on Windows 10. With the help of good ol Nexarse, and a video that he linked,

at 6:40 there is something very important. When you edit the sweetfx config at all, if you click save, on Windows 10 it seems to save as a different file type by default (UTF-8), or it was for me at least. You need to "save as" and choose ANSI or else you get syntax errors when launching the game and the reshade attempts to load, which was what I was getting last night and was doing my swede in.

All fixed now, thanks Nex, now just gotta hope I dont get this damn d3d_ini error after waiting 4 hours today re-downloading the game again ha

Nexus saves the day again, just call me batman :p :D

Glad you got it sorted, we will have to celebrate with some trolling shoppers tonight :p

Nice

Mine by far is the Entity XF has been my car since I could afford one. Also have an Adder, sounds great too :D

Oh and I also own a tank... LOL

My first car was the electric voltic, epic car, I sold it to make room for others though but..... I do miss it a lot so I might have to re-buy it lol. Tony and Josh love the electric hair dryer :p ;)

Not too keen on the entityfx design, drives/handles really nice though. Haven't driven the adder much tbh, might have to give it a test drive later!

I had the protogen super car but sold it, handles like **** and the T20 is FAR better, probably the best car in the game (technically) imo

I am not rank 70 yet so no tank for me :( Soon.....
