Could anyone gimme a quick recap of the new stuff plz, i finally got my PC back together and had a blast last night but couldnt see any new stuff, i checked all the vehicle stores and no new stuff in there either. Have i gotta do summat to activate the new stuff?

Hey dude

There is a whole load of stuff.

You can now buy an office for F&F

The include a safe? a gun cabinet (you can store your weapons from your inventory meaning no more dropping)
A personal assistant who can call up cars n choppers from the office or get cars confiscated back and organise an expensive helicopter.

Prices are from 1 to 4 mil + extras

6 new cars... I have sold all the super car's as I did not get on with them. 1 lorry, pretty useless but fun, a custom van, 2 versions of the cargo bob, 1 new executive helicopter, 1 new aircraft (exec jet) and a tugboat.... do not buy that.

That allows you to buy into the new open lobby business model. You can then buy up to 5 warehouses (this could cost 11 Mill if you want all big) to fill with contraband you buy. You can do it solo or with associates (VIP model) to collect the cargo from POI's protected by NPC's. These then make profit once in your warehouse and you can sell them.

However all is open to the lobby and can be intercepted by anybody. When selling your cargo though, you can loose it all (including profit) if attacked by others. So their is a serious issue with griefing. This has led to crew/friend sessions in open lobbies to enable hassle free buying and selling by Vote kicking no crew or friends who join.... Also all jet griefers are now the devil and there is much debate about that on forums, as they can literally now cost someone 2.5 Million....

Other than that, new cheat system was too clever on release and banned hundreds for using overlays.....

I tested my Gsync monitor with this for literally 2-3 mins last night before bed.

It briefly flickered to black a few times, and some google-fu suggests that this happens if the game drops to 0 fps?

I'll test it properly tonight but has anyone else experienced this?

To be honest I forgot to re-enable SLI (Prior to this I was playing 'Arkham Knight' so had one GPU dedicated to Physx) but FPS at 3440x1440 with everything Ultra and full draw distance the game was running at 60fps anyway according to the steam fps overlay.

I get DP drop outs on my x34 if I set it to above 60fps which result in blackness, but then you get the DP sign when it re-appears, so you may have a different issue. I've never seen it go black when it wasn't a DP thing.

Specifically in GTA V?

It seemed to overclock fine all the way to 100hz. To be honest I set my desktop to 90hz and I was playing Arkham Knight for literally hours on that screen at 90hz with no issues.

Overwatch I think I set to 100hz in game and I'm sure that was fine.

Run the game at stock with SLI enabled, as it scales very well, before looking for other issues.
 
Yeah, probably jumping the gun looking for problems.

I know it scales well with SLI, I was playing it on my 4K TV last year and didn't get dips below 60fps with everything highest (other than MSAA!)

Tried to join your session last night m8, you kept dropping in and out though so I figured you were messing around with overclocks :p

The new update is good, got me back into GTA V. Unfortunately, whilst you can spawn Pegasus vehicles from your office, there's still no option to jump straight into a Hydra (probably to the benefit of everyone else).

I had a lot of fun last night, I joined some other guys doing the crates which was great, then some other CEO decided to start shooting at our plane randomly. It ended with me chasing his cargobob in a Hydra and blowing him out of the sky. Probably cost him a couple of mil but serves him right :p

care to explain why?
I was rank more than 200 on the crew (probably one of the highest)... always played as OCUK crew...

I am not sure, seems a bit odd.. I am not in it atm so can't comment....

Will be on and off today if anybody needs a hand with anything.
 
Yeah, I have a friend that is not even forum member, he didn't play GTA V for months and he is still in the crew.
So it is not a non active member thing, because my pc was 1 month apart so I could not play.
I would like to know who did that and why.

I'm sure you were showing in the crew when I saw you yesterday Drang. I could have sworn you had the crew and friend ring around your dot on the minimap. I could be wrong though, I was being chased by someone in a golf cart lol

I saw that the other day and assumed you had annoyed someone and got kicked so didn't think anything of it.

Send an invite again and I will accept it.
