Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

***Official GTX 670 thread***

Also this from the NiBiTor 6.06 release notes:

For those who are having some of those newer Fermi based GeForce GTX 6x0 graphics cards and are looking for tweaking clock speed, voltages and fan speed, this is work in progress as quite some changes in the BIOS structure but we are getting there. And don't forget that all the development is only feasible due to your contributions. As always please provide your feedback, so we can make it better! Also provide your original BIOS as that help a lot to get better support in the next versions!

Hmmm Fermi based, that pointing towards mobile versions?

Also to prove my earlier speculation on Memory vs Core clocking, check out these results...Heaven, OcUK 1080 standard.

Core boost clock of 1300mhz, memory at stock, power +111%

Score: 1875
FPS:74.4

Core boost stock of 1189mhz, memory at 7200mhz effective (+600), power +111%

Score: 1882
FPS: 74.7

I'm going to retest them just shortly as I have a hunch that Adaptive V-sync is enabled which may harm the scores.

Edit: nope, A-V-Sync was already disabled.

301.34 here.

As my core would only go to +130, i then started increasing ram from +500, +600, +700 then finally +750. The gains in heaven were better than what i got from core increases. Ive settled at +130 and +750, for all i know the ram may go higher but i havent tried it yet.

I hit my limit around +775 (approaching 8000mhz effective) and start to get artefacts.

+770 on the memory nets me this.

Artifact free, memory on theese cards oc's like a bat outta hell.:D

I got my windforce today. I cant believe how quiet this card is!

Pretty annoyed that I can only get +50Mhz to the GPU clock without crashing in heaven though.. Memory on the other hand is now up to +700Mhz, and there still appears to be more head room.

Im using the newest GPU-Z (0.6.2) and my boost only says 1109 MHz (+50), is this a known problem? The sensors show a max of 1278.6MHz, so i assume thats the correct reading for the 'boost'?

The boost shown in the card info screen is just a minimum, my windforce shows 1059 boot stock boosts to 1189.

Can't believe how unlucky some people have been with these cards, at first it seemed 1300mhz boost would be easily done on the WF cards, now not so much.

What does everyones 'Device ID' show in GPU-Z btw? Just curious as mine shows 10DE-1189, 1189 ironically being my boost speed.

There was no mention of a one day only deal anywhere including on the actual product and I'm pretty sure it lasted longer than a day. I'll be picking one up somewhere over the next week or two. I was intending to get it at OCUK but with atleast two of their main competitors selling it for £340 I am not impressed with the 10% mark up.
+1.

If there was a weekend deal it would have been posted in the deals section of the forum like usual...

Still on an i7 920 DO with a 670 myself, the cpu certainly doesnt hold the card back.
Good to hear. :)
