is this card considered overkill for 1680x1050
Yeah man, with maximum dpeth it does make you feel like you're underwater. Everything just snaps into focus when you have the right depth, it is impressive.
I'm gonna wait for some bigger 3D screens (27"-30") before I wade in. (or can I wait?!)
so does it gain me much as a physx unit?
Ok guys, need some advice.
I've installed the new PSU (no easy task that) and all is well so far - on to the 580 next.
But, what shall I do with the old 8800GTX, use as physx or dump it? Not concerned about power, so does it gain me much as a physx unit?
(P.S. previously I stated I was running Q6600 somewhere around 3.2GHz - after closer inspection its closer to 3.5 and solid as a rock)
Just got my EVGA GTX 580 installed and up and running ... been awhile since I have used the green side so still tinkering (last NV card was a 9800GT)
Call me mad , insane or plain daft but this is an upgrade from a 5870 which is going in my 2nd rig but hell cant take the money with ya when you pop ya cloggs and ill be fudged if I leave any to my family
anyone want a bench using 980X @ 4.1Ghz let me know which bench and I will see if I can oblige but dont expect me to run everything going

That's just plain showing off.
