****Official GTX580 user reviews/benchmarking/overclocking thread****

Impressive. Turn PhysX off for a real result ;)

Why should he:)

PhysX is Nvidia, so why disable something that the Cards CAN do? - rather than what ATI CANT?, The overall P score will be higher because of this, and letas face it, you don't disable PhysX off in a game to lessen a performance do you?.

I have a 980X too, and TWO 480's with a P score of about 40K (forget my GPU score now will upload one in a bit for comparison)

Bah, Vantage scores don't interest me. Lets have some real game benchies people. I want to compare with my 480 SLI setup!

First benchmarks from me:

Unigine is being dense here and is seeing the 8800 instead of the 580.
(I did leave it in as a physx card)

I'm gonna eat something now and call it a day so I'll probably get around to the other game benchmarks on Friday.

I have a 580 in checkout basket now,but as i currently own a 480 with a custom cooler,my head is telling me i dont really need it.

Though my thinking is, the 480s price is going to get really low soon when trying to sell second hand, especially with the 570 and 6970 cards when released,so maybe its best to sell the 480 now while i can get half decent money for it.

Ah decisions :)

Is the GTX480 struggling ? Would the extra 15% performance make any difference ?

If your happy with the GTX480 then it makes no sense selling it. £200~ for a slightly quicker card seems a lot to me.
