apart from SSD and case, everything else is by Corsair (if they make it) in my system. looking forward to a 700D when i can be bothered to rebuild.

GTX 580 stock is just about nonexistent, never seen it this bad.
TBH I can't see that part hitting in 2010.

It does now seem that rumours about very poor yields and Nvidia struggling to make them seem true.
Lets hope gtx570's are available in much greater numbers.
Quite a few people on here own them, and I dion't have any problems finding them in-stock.
Fact is there is some stock out there from the first batch shipped but not much, looking around at the popular retailers stock has all but dried up. IMO Nvidia have failed big time with the launch of the 580, it could just be unmanufacturable in any high quantity.

I am tempted at this price but anything too good to be true is.
What I suspect we are getting is the pricing of the 580 cards once ATI release their cards and or nvidia drop the dual gpu on one PCB as well.
Both of these things will drive the price of the GTX580 down.
If the ati 6970 is faster or the same and aggressively priced then it would make sense.
Amazon aren't selling any more until after ATI release date so. While you think you are getting a good deal. You are only getting a good deal for 2 weeks at which point the pricing will be this across all etailers.
Well done to those that are confident the 580 will be the best card after 13th december and got it at the reduced price early.
It's a risk for a 2 week gain. Not sure one I am willing to take.

You sure it is ok to mention the site? Anyway £311 for Asus GTX580 is CRAZY! But they are out of stock now, but I guess people can still pre-order it...whether on not they can deliver is another question...
