It's only win win if the next batch covers the massive amount of orders
we'll probably be waiting all over again. Take a look at it's sales rank 
it's insane considering it's just a graphics card and is up against some of the top electronics.But yeh as you say, the plan for me is if the order falls through again, I'll be looking into the 69xx series. Will hopefully see some good prices on them from ocuk with any luck

If it says not dispatched it will be delayed, just been to the phone to THE SHOP! and they said to me that they had a handful comming in today and they have all gone.
My one (with Expedited delivery too) is still saying 1st December too.

me too, just took delivery of a Dell U2711 which I was planning on using alongside the 580GTX, if that doesn't come before the 13th I will see that AMD have got.
Heads up, u might want to drop the competitor name.

Yep. Has happened to me before with pre-orders. Like I said, I won't beleive it until I have them in my hands tomorrow.

Breach of contract + consumer direct = adverse publicity...words companies dont like to hear. Most likely is delaying stock so people cancel and buy elsewhere if indeed it is actually a mistake and not just an awesome deal/publicity stunt.
also they have had over 4 days to change the list price, it has been brought to their attention by multiple callers and it has changed status on their website so someone in their network must be aware it needs looking at. It would be highly unlikely they can back out of it now. If it was a small retailer they would be more likely to be able to get out of it as it could cause them solvency issues but someone as big as this one couldnt argue the same 'defence'.
