****Official GTX580 user reviews/benchmarking/overclocking thread****

Placed an order for another, SLI was just too tempting :D
Dunno how they can go for that price, its gotta be below cost for them.

My existing Zotac 580 is sitting at a modest 900 Core, 1800 Shader, 2100 Memory on 1.13mV and the temps don't exceed 80c. Hopefully the Asus will do as well if not better when it eventually arrives.

Will the asus one be ok in SLI with my Gainward card? I know your supposed to keep them the same but will it really make a difference?

I've just ordered 100 from them. :D

Seriously if they deliver I will eat my own words, but I can tell you for a fact they are loosing £50 per transaction minimum so will be very surprised if they deliver.

Sounds like a marketing trick to get loads of people looking at their website, placing orders and give it a few days time and they will no doubt say something like we can't source product.

LOL, nice one :D Funny if they all turn up though :D

I was wondering what the catch is tbh Like some say it maybe a mistake but if so then it would have been sorted by now. Is the 580 about to drop with the new ATI/AMD card around the corner?

Breach of contract + consumer direct = adverse publicity...words companies dont like to hear. Most likely is delaying stock so people cancel and buy elsewhere if indeed it is actually a mistake and not just an awesome deal/publicity stunt.

Yeah, and where else do you know them being sold for £311? :D

Although I share, as im sure others do, the scepticism around this I hardly think "the sh:op" in question needs marketing tricks to get loads of people looking at their website (which is the 9th most viewed website in the UK) especially at this time of year?

I think it's just a pricing mistake and when they wake up they will honour the first say 100 and cancel the rest is my gut feeling, especially now gibbo has ordered 100 :D
