Just to add my 2 cents....

I think the £311 was always gonna be a pipe dream, given the trade price is around £302, but, it was worth a punt nevertheless.

I would be interested to know if anyone, actually received one, from them.
 
Could someone give me a bit of advice?

Ive uninstalled my radeon 5850 graphic drivers, rebooted, installed the new GTX580 drivers off the nvidia site and im getting pretty poor performance.

I was getting about 90fps on my 5850 in Black Ops, im only getting 60-75 with the 580 on the same settings.

I dont want to have to reinstall everything just to find out its not making a difference, is there still a reasonable driver cleaner in operation, or does the 580 just not like black ops too much?
 
^ Ive always reinstalled OS when changing between ATI and Nvdia.

As for COD i havent got the game so i cant compare FPS im afraid.

What drivers have your tried?
 
Black ops is severely borked, gpu usage for me is very low, (40% ono) with sli gtx 470's, very jerky gameplay, you could try running driver sweeper to remove any traces of the ati drivers, shouldnt need to reinstall the os.
 
Fps for me is the same Raven, but the card usage is very low and the game feels jerky, doesnt matter if i run low settings or max, mw2 plays flawlessly, i think treyarch have made a bit of a hash with b ops.
 
Seems ok, im running 751 core clocks on my 470's, scores below at 1920x1200, 4x aa.

I'm worthless and weak, I couldn't wait any longer and bought a couple. My wallet is bleeding and so will I be if the wife finds out! :D

my wife told me not to buy another this afternoon, but after much thought, ive decided to ignore her any buy the next available msi card i see

I'm not sure how this works but someone posted it in the BC2 thread and supposedly it has fixes for low GPU usage http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18213270

Heaven results as per sig.
Min & max are quite strange
Seems to run steady at approx 70/30 until test 18 where very briefly goes erratic.
GPU load at a steady 97%
CPU at 3.2GHz
