****Official GTX580 user reviews/benchmarking/overclocking thread****

GJ02 are you selling it because it cannot exceed 915 on the core?
Why not back it down to 910 and enjoy it, 40MHz wont make a massive difference. Few points on a benchmark but what's it matter.

Are you sure the rest of your system is stable?
Might be worth setting your cpu back to stock and trying then.
Do you have another PSU that you could try or maybe test it in a different pc?

Managed to get 882 core @ stock voltages its stable too and never gets above 80deg in bench.......not sure if its any good but i'm well happy

and its got nothing to do with the psu, a 6month old corsair hx1000 is enough to power this and another

You won't easily sell a GTX580 as you can now buy them new for £383 & there is plenty of stock to go around ............

There really isnt the stock out there. A few etailers might have some, but not many - and a lot of those are quoting in stock when it probably isnt.

Theres a shortage of them, nvidia simply can't make them to meet the demand. You have to look at the price rises on it in the last 2 weeks alone as a backup. For example, I bought my palit one at 399inc vat from here. Same card is up on OcUK now at 429inc vat, and that's only pre-order. A rise of £30 in just 2 weeks pretty much and no stock.

Price will likely tumble when 6970 is out, but still.

Not sure if it's the 580 that AWPC is referring to, but there's Inno3D GTX 580s in stock (+10) for £382.79.
Yep that's the one & they have them all in physical stock (you can see them on the shelf!!) as I bought my GTX580 from there for under £400 @ launch when everyone was telling me no way can I get one etc etc

GTX580 is not in that short supply that place has well over 12 in stock right now all are priced correctly as they never price gouge ;)

You want a GTX570 @ launch or any other high end GPU they always get it on time & have plenty of stock @ web prices how amazes me but they must have contacts as they also had 5970's when no-one else did as well. Guess as its one of the only places left in London to buy such parts they get tossed a bone or 2!!!
