My copy arrived today, hurrah, so I've just setup Larry Trotter and will have a play later - the intro was quite cool though

Had a good few hours today. Love it. Hogwarts is beautifully done and huge. Doing some side quests and pushing on with the main story. Playing it on hard as I feel it’s a bit easy or easy to over level. Intrigued by the story so far.

From what i've played (near 20 hours), other than getting sorted into a house at the start....it makes absolutely no difference?

I’m enjoying it, the combat is fun and I like exploring Hogwart’s and the design of the menu screens etc, but Peeves and the general voice acting is a little lacklustre to say the least.

No idea if this is allowed but any CD keys sites worth using apart from cdkeys themselves. Missus went to ASDA a bit ago, loads of copies on shelf, took it to the checkout and was told they sold out.

Started this today. I think I'm really going to enjoy it but I'm going to have to swap over to PC because I'm not happy with the compromise between performance and graphics quality for this particular title.
I have disabled the mini map and HUD markers etc. And I find it much more immersive this way.

Sounds like the PC version could do with some optimisation judging by the comments here and elsewhere. I hope it runs well for you so you can enjoy it fully ... it's a fun game.

Yeah it certainly has his issues especially with ray tracing performance but I have the current best GPU so I'll be fine.
I'm certainly going to finish everything on the game which is rare for me to do these days. Not even a huge Harry potter fan. I just like the setting.

Balanced with unlocked framerate looks to be where its at on console. The RT is a joke bolt on.

Oof, some of the stuff the guys at Digital Foundry are saying happened with the ResetEra crew is INSANE! I'll not go into detail, and let those who are interested google it or just check around the Gaf, but damn.

I tried all the modes, balanced was the lesser evil for sure. Nevermind, nothing lost by trying.
As to The alleged controversy I don't care anymore, it's boring. Play it or don't.

I'm loitering on buying this. Is it actually a good game? I enjoy Harry Potter, but if it's basically just an impressive rendering of Hogwarts with a few quests I'm not sure it's one for me at full price. Is the game element of it actually decent?

In settings: Turn the camera acceleration all the way down, and camera sensitivity all the way up. "I can't tell you how much smoother the game feels, it's like night and day,"

Deffo helps doing the above. Using it with HFR mode and seems beaut now.

I'm on high frame rate performance mode too still looks... Can't game below 60 FPS just feels horrible..especially during combat... And yes this game is very good. there's more to it then walking around Hogwarts lol
