I am annoyed you can't skip cutscenes though, especially if you have going through them before :(
Barnabus Weasleby is getting frustrated :D

25 hours in now. Quest log is showing 62% complete. Have done majority of side and relationship ones but been mooching around and doing the merlin trials for a while.

I'm pretty sure you can skip cutscenes by holding triangle/Y?
Some you can, but not all - also not being able to pause cutscenese besides pressing the guide button is annoying!

another gripe is the camera position/distance can't be altered either, I find it is too close to the character.

Wondering if I should give this ago. What's it like, similar games?
When you get out of school it’s just like another open world to explore. The combat is actually very satisfying once you get some more powerful spells. It’s not as big or sprawling as something like the new assassins creed games but it borrows from them and from breath of the wild too though the puzzles are lighter. It reminds me of Immortals Fenix Rising (if you played that) but in a Harry Potter world setting and better magic. I am liking it a lot. It’s kind of chill but some of the bigger enemies can be tough. Exploring is fun with the broom you can fast travel but I enjoy flying. There are mounts later on but I’ve not unlocked them yet. Played for 20 hours or so and that’s a lot for me in a week. Story is decent so far with its ancient magic and dodgy evil goblins.

Talking of more powerful spells, can the standard spell be upgraded in any way?
Not sure what you call it but not talking about the spells in the wheel, I mean the normal spell cast shot.

When you unlock talents you can upgrade the main R2 spell to cast it a lot faster. Not sure about power.

35 hours in and just finished the third trial, having a blast doing all the side missions and other activities.

Finished this tonight. Really enjoyed it. Again not a massive Potter fan but this game was very enjoyable. Probably one of the best RPGs I've played in a while to.

The combat was so satisfying when you combine spells together and then juggle enemies in the air with the normal spell attack lol some bits were quite tough to and that was on normal.

Recommend it to anyone who's into RPGs and on the fence. Even more so if you're into the Harry Potter franchise.
