I need a new barbell too actually. Maybe if I buy lots of stuff I can get it on 0%? (I know that's not a healthy way of doing things!)

sshealthfoods are showing stock on there website, I've placed 2 orders which have both now been approved.

never ordered from the website myself but ordered from them off ebay in the past and they came through fine for me.

Thanks for the heads up, grabbed an Ez bar and Tricep bar for some extra variation.

Here's what I'm currently working with.

A bench and the 2kg - 32kg adjustable dumbbells.

I put my home gym on 0% because it felt quite satisfying that it was exactly the same cost as my gym membership over 12 months. Which is now long gone. I don't make a habit of it though! Hold on I'm off to buy a corner sofa and TV I can't afford ;)

LieE that spot is absolutely begging for a rack

Yep I’m eyeing up this one. I’m limited in height so will make do with a squat rack.

Turns out I'm a massive hypocrite now anyway. Between posting the above and passing on the purchase 1 of my monitors killed itself. Replaced without hesitation. Clearly my priorities are wrong!

I'm finding it so difficult to get 15-20kg plates with a 1 inch internal diameter for spinlock bars. The ones I do find are cast iron small ones and ideally I'd like vinyl or rubber coated so I'm still left with a patio by the end of the lockdown.

Just get some rubber matting to land the plates on. I bought two 2ft square rubber tiles that are used in childrens outdoor play areas! about 50mm thick, quite dense so they don't deform with the weights banging down on them but cushion the shock from damaging the concrete. I used a bit of wood to make a platform to stand on so everything is at the correct height.

My latest toy turned up today for my garage gym......

It's horrific to use lol

If I had to pick any bit of equipment to bring anyone to their knees in a few minutes, it would be 'The devils tricycle'.

Doesnt matter if you are strong, weak, marathon runner, sprinter or whatever - going full whack on an assault bike punishes everyone!

Echo Rogue bike is even WORSE than standard Assault bike. It's horrendous.....100% the worst thing ever invented.

You can at least "spin up" the assault bike and hold on for a bit, the Echo bike has no "gliding", you stop for a second and it pretty much stops dead as well.

I've never been on the standard assault bik,e but I've read that they "spin" or "free wheel" a little when you ease off?

The echo bike doesn't. As soon as you ease off or stop it stops. So it constantly needs input and it's just sapping.

I'm very unfit, i treid a constant pace for 20 minutes on it this morning. Made it 7 miles and had to have a lie down after it lol

Forget doing long sessions on it - not worth it. Best thing to wreck yourself is intervals. Say 20 seconds on /40 off - 10 rounds. But the 20 seconds on are full full gas. Honestly, your utterly broken after that if you go full gas for the 20 seconds on.

Yea, I just wanted to see how achievable a longer spell on it was.

Going to be using it for intervals as you say.
