Really it was the backstory of Horizon Zero Dawn that was so good.
The actual story wasn't all that.
100% agree the back story of zero dawn was really good and the main story was average at best. Probably why I didn't like forbidden west as much.

Yes, this is true. With ZD you were basically being told two stories at once. The present day, and the distant past. And the very first playable section is a teaser for that distant past, and is instrumental in building interest for the rest of the game.100% agree the back story of zero dawn was really good and the main story was average at best. I loved it. So much so I did everything on the map. That's why I think I will enjoy Forbidden West more than some say they did.
So did I... except the DLC which was bloody hard and I was burned out by then.I loved it. So much so I did everything on the map. That's why I think I will enjoy Forbidden West more than some say they did.
PR should not be marketing unlocked fps and UWA as "PC Features" These should be the baseline features of every PC game not needing any extra marketing.
There isn't much to say about PC features, so they've gotta pump those specs up!

I really enjoyed HZD and did everything I could. Almost nothing bad to say about it.
FW is... not in the same league I'm really sorry!
The very first monster of the DLC whooped my butt repeatedly And by that point I was steamrolling everything in the main game.I think I did the DLC out of order, about lvl 13 iirc, which made it... Interesting
True. There isn't much to show and is not like they're going to add full RT or something. Just port it to PC and get the cash! It's a bit grasping at straws though. Like when jobs advertise 'pension scheme' as a benefit.
