They released a hotfix yesterday with a work around for the issue while they work on a proper solution.

I thought I'd chuck it here as this thread seems the best place.

I've been looking forward to this, as with all of clods faults I still find it enjoyable, can't help but feel the price is a bit rich so I may wait until it goes on sale. But I wish them all the best, the combat flight sim market isn't what it used to be and a bit of variety is always welcome.

I would agree that the price does seem a bit steep particularly as the original IL2 engine came out in 2011 but I guess the game has been improved since then. Used to play a lot of CLoD in the day and this Tobruk pack has been on the cards for sooo long. Assume there is no VR update for this game?

The official line is no vr on release, but it will be added in a later patch "if" the game is successful. So it probably isn't coming any time soon.

Not an issue for me as I use freetrack. But I can see why it would put some off. My main concern is the lack of dynamic campaign, they seem to be pegging their hopes on the community to make one.

I don’t quite get why they are adding to the Cliffs ecosystem rather than great battles where the engine has seen a lot more work, already has VR and telemetry etc... what’s the logic behind that move?

Different team of people, they're actually modders who got permission to use the source code when it was acquired by 1C/777, before that they had been updating it without the source and making it into a usable product.

There's a few posting their thoughts on it over on the il2sturmovik forums, seems it has a few bugs that they plan to address in the next week. But other than that the ones that bought it seem happy enough, the rest are just moaning about price, lack of vr, and the age of the engine.

Oh and they didn't touch the menus it seems.

I'd buy it but I've spent to much on getting a set of rudder pedals and on diy hotas mounts.

Hi, since Steam repaired their server, my IL2 BOS, Kuban, Moscow etc have lost joystick support. Win10, steam and BOS all say i have a CH flightstick pro but now think it is a game controller and i can't find any way of changing it to joystick. If you look on the sales screen it has a picture of a controller half greyed out with the legend, partial controller support! Not there when i bought the game. Steam wont help ad told me to contact ICgames support. Emailed them 2 days ago, not a peep. Many people have been online with this problem, it seems that the people who sell/make it are not very good when it comes to support. Can anyone help/advise. Thanks Chris
