Ljajic had agreed to move to Fiorentina
http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/reds-sign-maxi-rodriguezLiverpool Football Club this afternoon announced the signing of Maxi Rodriguez on a free transfer from Atletico Madrid.
The Argentina International has agreed a three and a half year contract with Liverpool and will wear the number 17 shirt.
The deal is now subject to international transfer clearance.
Parry's finally doing his job. Oh wait...Free transfer? Nudge Nudge Wink Wink
Sold Voronin for £2m, signed Maxi Rodriguez for free.... hmm..
....
The £12m is the signing on fee. It goes to the player, not the club. So that £25m fee is based on him signing a pre-contract agreement for the summer, with £12m going ho him, and the rest of it is made up in wages.
Even better than first thought
That seems quite pricy for a free agent in the summer. Didnt they only want about 7m for him when Arsenal approached in the summer?
Nice bit of business if thats the case
liverpool better get a new striker in the jan sales as torres is out for 6 weeks with knee op, gerrard out for 4 weeks and yossi for 3 weeks with a cracked rib. Its just getting worst and worst.
Seriously? Liverpool are doing an Arsenal with injuries..
David James to Stoke on loan till the end of the season with Portsmouth paying (if he is lucky ) half his wages. Things must be real bad at Portsmouth for them to do this.
Surprised Stoke have gone for it, but I guess he must just be back-up. Sorensen is a fantastic keeper.
