As I said when looking at Rio's injuries, Vidic possibly off to Madrid and Evans injury record I disagree
 
If we're talking about what ifs and maybes, then I could say he'll be playing alongside Vermaelen next season when Gallas doesn't sign a new contract and Sol finishes his 6 months.

Do you guys honestly think Vidic will leave? I can't see it myself, unless it's silly money.

On the whole younger players get more opportunities at Arsenal, it's just how it is. He also might fancy stopping in London as I said before.
 
manyoo won't allow Vidic to go without bringing in a top class replacement. He's their only half decent centreback at the minute. You could argue they will buy at least one even if Vidic stays.

Now, Fulham just need to sign a left back, another centre back, and another forward. Shame our medicals take a week to complete, not looking likely unless there is already deals set.
 
Yeah that's right, he's only interested in signing for the money.... yawn yawn. It's not like challenging for major honours season after season was a factor in his decision... :p

Is it not true what he has said..

I'll raise you a certain Aaron Ramsey, recently described by some of the media as the most promising young British footballer. Who did he settle for... Let's not forget he appeared on a certain website as having joined when he hadn't (I'm not saying this is true of Smalling)

haha, Arsenal have now had a bid for Smalling accepted and Fulham are saying there are still things to be sorted out.

There's a guy reporting from Old Trafford just been on SSN with that exact news about 5-6 minutes ago.

Guess it's gonna be a nice bit of drama before the game on Sunday :p

Its great to (maybe) get another British player in - but its a bit of a strange move I think (rings bells of the de Leat transfer, at least that one was on the cheap - this is like £8m or so )

Personally got a feeling Vidic will be off in the summer for about £20 - 25m to spain or italy. Also have a feeling we will get a pro in (not sure if this Italian will arrive though).

Really hoping this French holding /box to box midfielder signs this window (but with this Fulham transfer appearing out of nowhere today - maybe the French connection is just rumour :()

I'm watching SSN and they're changed the story now, "Fulham say it is not done yet" etc.
 
Fulham website;

Fulham can confirm that it has reached an agreement with Manchester United for the transfer of Central Defender Chris Smalling.

Should a successful medical be completed and final terms agreed the player will join Sir Alex Ferguson’s team at the start of the 2010/2011 season, staying at Fulham for the remainder of the current season.
