** Official ** January 2010 Transfer Thread- Rumours & Speculation in here

"Middlesbrough have bolstered their strike force with transfer deadline day arrivals of Celtic striker Scott McDonald and Aberdeen's Lee Miller."

I always saw McDonald scoring regularly for Celtic, what's this Miller like, any ideas?

Strachan has got some decent forwards in but forgot he's lost the service of Johnson to supply them!

Yeah, I was hoping Nakamura would agree to join on loan then at least we've got cover for the rest of the season.

I was surprised to learn McDonald hasn't scored this season and Miller has only managed 3. Along with Killen's impressive zero that doesn't fill me with too much confidence.

Edit: Actually - Skysports say McDonald has scored zero - elsewhere record him as having scored 10

I'm quite shocked with Robbie Keane going to play League one football.

He's "the best player in the world" last season according to Motty ;) and now he's playing League one footie. Funny old world football.

Spurs do have a lot of players on their books, but I imagine "Arry won't be getting everything his own way and won't be able to "splash" too much cash.

Levy will be keeping the finances under really tight managment because he's **** like that.

If memory serves McDonald has scored 14 goals this season. Not his most prolific season to be honest. He's a goal scorer ok, but he's also a disruptive influence in the dressing room which is why he was let go. I wouldn't read too much into Killen's record, Strachan refused to play the guy which is why I was surprised he moved to Middlesborough!

Cant say I'm surprised that Keane is on the move again, he's always striked me as the sort that doesn't appreciate being benched and since his move to Liverpool he's looked a shadow of the player who used to play for Spurs

The only surprising thing about it is how it's come out of nowhere

He's not really "on the move". He needs to find his form again and I guess the best way for him to do that is to go on loan so he can get regular starts.

I cant see him returning to Spurs again after this, a 6 month loan to Celtic followed by a move some else in the summer

I thought keane looked allright at the start of the season,

Time will be the teller though, if gudjohnsen bombs and you don't make the top four, i suspects the keane away deal will come back on harry.

If for nothing else, the press will fuel the fires and the phone in votes on 606 won't be far behind.

Dodgy 'arry saying that Keane will probably be back at Spurs in the summer, doesnt see it as being a permanent deal...this according to SSN.

Liverpool are one of the biggest clubs in World Football.

Celtic play in Scotland, Scottish football is ****.
