***Official Left 4 Dead 2 Thread***

taaaaank mutation is hilarious fun. it's stupid and I will probably never play it again, but it was a good laugh. no mercy with 4 tanks throughout...

Meh what a waste of 3.5GB of my bandwidth, No Mercy is just as expected so nothing wrong there but the Sacrifice was sooo eurgh, didn't feel complete at all on the finale.

*SPOILERS*

Start off, the 3 geni's are quickly activated, distance travelled minimal. Once on the bridge it's pretty much over in seconds, the tanks overwhelm extremely quick. There's no sense of right who's sacrificing and whatch them run off towards the tanks it's extremely confined and it's instead a hurried jump off the bridge behind the tanks -.- lame. Then it takes all of 1.2 secs to start the gen and that's it, you get hit by rocks then it cuts out. I thought it would have been more dramatic a cutscene or I duno just something where you as the player felt you were dieing. Overhyped like mad tbf.

Well, I played the sacrifice campaign... It was decent enough I guess. The first two maps were good, but the final map was a bit of a let-down. I was expecting a little more drama at the end... All seemed to be over a little suddenly.

The Taaaank! Mutation is hilarious though. It's versus, but with all infected as tanks(!). Basically, you have no chance of fighting them off - you have to just run like hell and hope you don't get caught. Events (where you have to press a button and wait) are pretty much impossible. Still a good laugh though.

Finally finished and played the Sacrifice on Normal, and have to echo Craig3000's thoughts tbh!

And is it just me that cant access Part 4 of the comic? You cant click on it from the main screen, but if you go to Part 3 and skip through it you can get to it that way :)

I'm sure no matter how much i download the file size keeps increasing

L4D2 add on support started dl'ing (not l4d2 though) and now its file size says 8.4gb/11.5gb, so i'm not even sure if it downloaded anything or just upped the file size again...

And still 200mb to go on L4D.

I quite like the new update, but yeh I agree that the sacraficial death could have come accross better. However I still had fun on the campaign in L4D1 (even on steve's local connection as no dedi servers were up at the time, including mine, most are running now after a quick patch from valve), and I'm looking forward to being able to use LTUK 3 tonight to play L4D2 on the same campaign.

It's free DLC at the end of the day, which allows us to use the L4D1 survivors in L4D2. Only had a quick blast of level 1 of No Mercy, but so far so good. Still up for No Mercy L4D2 Versus on Saturday evening as well. :)

*did Sacrifice on L4D*

God damn thats an evil finale. Tried it on advanced and unless you have a Pipe Bomb and some Hunting Rifles spare (since the big gun would be useless on Expert) you get buttraped by 4 tanks within seconds. Basically if whoever goes to sacrifice themselves fails... its game over.

Can someone clarify the update for me as I didn't get it last night with all the slow steam issues,

New campaign is in L4D 1?
No Mercy is in L4D2?

Is there a new campaign in L4D2 also?

The new campaign is in both l4d1 and l4d2.

Also, No Mercy is now in l4d2 (including l4d2 weapons and special infected etc).

You get The Sacrifice campaign for both L4D1 and L4D2.
L4D2 also gets No Mercy, but you still play as Bill/Zoey etc but with the new guns and special infected.
If your Addon Support for L4D2 downloads you can pause/cancel it as it is no longer needed for L4D2 custom campaigns which is good.
