hmm.. ill have a play with that then. havent had an issue with it in L4D or the demo yet, but increased FPS is always nice.

The deflib.... that actually brings dead players back to life, right? some guy asked me to rez him yesterday, i just thought he was incapped, but when i got to him he was flat out dead. I tired to use it on a tank, but it didnt seem to want to zap him. :)

I have MC rendering turned on and I always get one 5-10 second pause, always a few minutes into a game. That is it though, it does it once and never again in that session. I always thought it might have been the game caching the files to memory or something as it does it always near the start of a game but never after that.

Forgetful Fish

ahhhhh, so thats your excuse is it ;)

Played a bit of the new mode (forgot what its called, collecting gas canisters) at Eurogamer and its absolutly fantastic fun!

The new infected are AWESOME to play, charger, spitter, new smoker looks, female boomer, jockey! I cant wait for this now, its SO MUCH FUN

I'll link you guys to a 20 min interview with Chet (valve PR guy) who was there, my mate (hl2.net guy) got him talking about l4d2, and tried to squeeze some ep3 info out but he didn't like that, and replied with "well everyones getting massages now" when asked what people were working on ;)

Was also a guy dressed as bill playing l4d2 aswell, he was epic.

Whilst I do hope that more than 50% of the maps are in darkness or at least 'heavy rain' ;), I do think that the daylight map was a nice change. Helped make the game feel very refreshing.
I read that The Parish campaign (which the demo is taken from) is the last in a sequence of 5 and is the only one in full daylight.

Unlike L4D1, I get the impression that these will run together in a story, which I really like the idea of. So the end of the fourth campaign will have the survivors meet Virgil :)

And in L4D3, all 8 survivors meet up, then go 8v8'ing :D

What's the point of that? A bit of window dressing at the end of the final map?

I would have prefered to see an NPC form part of a map. You have to escort him from A-->B protecting him so he can open/do something for you.
