**** Official LG G4 Discussion Thread ****

I beleive the leather g4 handsets comes with a plastic cover inside the box too. Not sure what colour through. Probably grey or gold
 
Thanks for the info. Should be receiving mine at some point today. Any advice on tweaks/settings/updates/firmware that needs to go on? Have they sorted the touchscreen issues now?
 
The prices these are now available for make them really tempting.
I was planning on grabbing a new Nexus 5/6 (or even a Moto X Style), but for £300 the G4 can't really be beaten can it? The lack of a fingerprint sensor and stock Android is a bit of bummer, but otherwise it seems a steal right now.
 
Should have my brown leather G4 tomorrow. My otterbox "commuter" case came today ready to protect it. Is there any prefered make of tempered glass screen protectors to go for?

Wondering the same thing, as the screen is slightly curved I'm interested to know if there's a specific one that's recommended.
 
One tweak I definitely had to make was changing the DPI to 540 - its set way too high out of the box. Means you have to use a different launcher but thats no bad thing really and really improves the user experience.

Seems 5Ghz Wifi performance is absolutely shocking. Spoke to LG support and there's no fix coming. Annoying.

Its going back, will wait out for something else. Shame because the camera really is fantastic on this phone.
 
Received my G4 on Saturday. I absolutley love it! After owning the S6, which just didn't feel right, the UI feels very stock, with a few elements thrown here and there.

Like the knock on/off feature, put a 128gb Micro SD in there too, the curve makes the phone feel great to use, battery lasts longer than in my S6. Much less bloat than the S6 too. :D
 
It is a great phone. I too like the knock on/off feature, very handy. I thought the buttons on the back might be a bit annoying but yhey feel so much better there for me.

Updated mine to the latest software straight away and then factory reset it before i started setting it up. Phone is very fast and battery lasts me more than a day.
