**** Official LG G4 Discussion Thread ****

From the hand-on videos it looks good overall. I prefer the from look of the G3 though. The new leather back looks great. Good choice of well chosen colours aswell. Shame on the basic speaker. Screen should be good too for an LCD. UI still looks too garish in some places i.e. the notification pulldown. Performance also looks solid, much better than the GFlex 2 when navigation the IU. The camera looks very solid too, great UI and settings. Sensor size is big and large aperture will help loads.

Looking forward to the reviews.

Looks quite nice actually. Might be tempted to let the Nexus 5 go. Depends how it feels in the hand. I tried the Nexus 6 and did not like :( :(

I'm very excited by how the battery life could turn out, given the lower speed processor and the touted screen efficiency. And the battery being replaceable, this could be great

So current estimate is 28th May? Looks like a good phone, will wait for reviews though. Performance difference between the 808 and 810 in real world conditions should be near zero, unless you do something that uses all 4 A57 cores often...

How easy was it to root/flash custom ROMs on the G3? LG's update speed seems to have gone better recently but I'm still a tad skeptical :p.

This looks promising, but I'm keen to see reviews re battery life and camera. Just had a play with a flex2 in CPW, and the size doesn't feel too big, even though I sent back my S6 partly due to size/ergonomics. The ROM also feels a little more stock than Samsung.

Bit disappointed by this. Lacklustre design and specs barely better than the g3.

The s6 is the best phone this time around then. Although the prices on that phone are just silly.

Not sure I'd agree with that, screen and camera should rival the S6. Real world performance might not vary that much either, we'll have to see for the reviews to turn up.

We'll see, but to me it seems as the next best alternative to the S6 if you didn't want one of them.

I have to say I'm still a undecided about the way it looks, that LG logo on the front really takes away from the design for me.

Having said that if the camera does turn out to be as strong as it sounds then this could well be my next phone. Coming from a Nexus 4 I don't feel like I'm lacking in performance so the benchmarks are just numbers to me.

Bring on the reviews for opinions on the battery and camera!
