Think this may be my next phone to replace my z3c when the time comes theres nothing wrong with the z3c i just want to go back to a bigger phone again

Fingers crossed. The S6 contracts have been shockingly bad (just have a look at the S6 thread), at least compared to S4 contracts back from when it was the flagship.

IMO the G4 does appear to be a more workhorse handset than the S6. It might not have the glass and metal build of the S6 though, but it makes up for it with a streamlined OEM interface and better feature packed camera with full manual controls as opposed to semi manual. It also looks better than the S6.

Great way of summerizing the G4 Robbie. Are you thinking of buying one?

I'm extremely tempted to move across. 99% certain I will I just need to know what the battery life is like compared to the Z3.

That can be overcome with installing cyanogenmod.

It is a really good phone. The battery is 3000mah which is the same as g4.

Regarding the chipset. It uses the same cpu/chipset as the oneplusone and samsung s5. (qualcomm 801 , which is very decent price/performance)

It is a lot better than the 810 chipset flagship phones which are prone to overheating. There is many articles you can read about this issue.

The g4 uses an 808. so to jump from 801 to 808 is not major upgrade and the benchmark results on antutu/geekbench show this.

Personally I have just upgraded from the samsung s4 to the lg g3. I was going to get the g4 but when i saw the specs and price point I thought to myself there is no point. Also the gimmicky f.18 apetuture is a joke. if people want a proper dslr just buy one. you can get a nikon d3200 entry level for dirt cheap.

Also the lg g3 lollipop has the camera api 2 for raw/manual control.

just my thoughts. lg g4 is still a good phone for the fact remains its the only flagship phone at the moment with removable battery and micro sd card slot

Couldn't be much worse, the LG G3 was throttling very quickly in games and was noticeably slower than other devices using the exact same SoC.

It was even the same with the Snapdragon 805 version but to a lesser extent, the issue was never with the SoC's themselves, it was LG's crappy thermal design.

Changing to Cyanogen will never fix the LG G3.
 
Thought this was interesting.

The autofocus on the LG G4 is definitely faster and there is more detail with the front facing camera for obvious reasons, however the audio quality is awful in the video.

Preferring the shots from the Galaxy S6 even is are a little warmer, or maybe that's just because LG G4 shots look so dull.

The S6 looks like it has a little more sharpness/detail to me. But they seem similar, which is good as the S6 camera is very good anyway.

Yep SQ is bad but the auto focus is impressive. Prefer the video from the S6.

Pics are a tie for the rear cam and a win for the LG for the FFC.
