**** Official LG G4 Discussion Thread ****

A large electronics online place has them for £299 for the Gold or White version.

Tbh the leather one is not worth any extra. I left the leather back in the box and used the gold one which is more of an alloy/titanium colour.

So looking for the H815 model ideally. Trouble is mos tsellers will state H815 and miss out the last letter on eBay

Mine is an LG-H815 pretty sure my brothers just says H815 without the LG bit...

Cool. Eglobal offer thier own local 1 year warranty so let's hope don't have to use them.

I have spent a lot of time using the G4 since I purchased it a few days ago. I am massively impressed with the hardware.

However, I have not gotten along well with the software. Windows makes more sense to me, and whilst it has fewer apps, the ones I use are more elegantly designed than their Android contemporaries.

I will be returning it. I hope LG offer a version of the G4 with Windows installed, as it is a great phone for the money if you get on well with Android.

Not likely, at the moment most manufacturers are waiting to see if demand gets better with W10 before committing to a new device. Give it 6-12 months we might see more manufacturers other than Microsoft take the plunge with Windows (Phone) 10...

Hi all, I picked mine up today and I've got a silly question but I can't find the answer anywhere - How do you remove the camera shortcut from the Lock Screen? I'm using Pin lock and there's no option to add/remove shortcuts in the "Display - Lock Screen" settings.

If I select "Swipe" as the lock screen then I get the "Display - Lock Screen - Shortcuts" option and have used it to remove all the shortcuts but when I go back to Pin the camera is back again!

This is driving me round the bend, how simple should this be yet it's almost made me rage quit the phone already!

Ianh, settings > display > lock screen > shortcuts (customize shortcuts on lock screen)

Think there should be the option in there?

Just got my g4 yesterday and impressed so far. I'm finding it gets pretty warm though in heavy use though, particulary at the grill area just beneath the camera lens on the back. Is this normal? It's mainly done it when doing system updates so far.

Thanks tummelv but even though that seems to be the advice from every website, it doesn't actually work with my phone, the camera is still there on Pin lock.

hry chaps,

The missus and I both have HTC One M8's she decided to drop her phone an have it ran over by a car the muppet.

I was lookign at the Elephone P8000 but the more I look at these phoens the more complaints I see about themn goign wrong and warranty being worth nowt.

I was looking at the G3 which can be had for £210 but just saw this morning on Hotukdeals the G4 at £289.99 so Im fairly tempted to nab that for her.

Has anyone else gone HTC One M88 > G3?
Are they all wireless charging capable and do they come with a base?

The phoen Im looking at it a LG G4 32GB in White, but not many places seem to have white ones and I'm wondering if its a dodgy import or something?

LGH815.AGBRWH is the ID apparantly

The G4 is considerably better than the G3 and worth the extra. No idea about the M8.

If it's cheap it's more than likely an import. Just remember that LG will only support UK devices. Personally I would pay the £20-30 extra and get a UK model from a UK seller.

just had an e-mail from a place (competitor i'm afraid) selling at £289 in white on their daily deals - if you've not got one i'd do a bit of poking around and find that..

Thats a great price for a decent uk retailer.

Just ordered 2 from the above too replace my Note 2 and my wife's S4 mini :).

Was comparing to the Nexus 5X and really can't see a reason to buy the Google one for £90 more.
