*** Official Mass Effect 2 Thread ***

LOTSB is really good, some of the dossiers you can read at the end are quite funny. Also there's a bit where there's a sound bug on some PCs, it's a bit annoying but I just turned on the subs for that bit. Overlord was good, although I felt its emotional qualities were a bit overhyped. Haven't finished Arrival since I got ME2 burn out lol.

Btw might be a spoiler but if you romanced with Liara in ME1 and continue it from LOTSB can you no longer get with Tali, Jack or Marinda ?
Hmm, dunno about that. I haven't felt the lure to play an intergalactic pimp Shepard, so can't help there unfortunately. :p
I would imagine it would depend on how many missions you would still have available, to progress the dialogue?

If you have a remote interest in getting ME3 you should probably get the Arrival DLC since it apparantly creates the reasoning for the events at the beginning of ME3.

Ah see my persona for my Shepard is to be the bad ass killing whatever the hell I want, alien pimp master :p

Might have a look at mass effect wiki see if theres any info on it. If not i'l stick with Tali as I find her far more mysterious lol

I will deffo be getting ME3.

This. It depends when you do LOTSB, for example if you romanced Liara in ME, then you romance say Tali before doing LOTSB, you can still romance Liara as well at the end of Shadow Broker.
This would mean doing Shadow Broker after the main game though i think, as the sex scene happens just before the final mission.
If you do LOTSB before the end mission, you see a picture of Liara instead of the sex scene iirc.

Not 100% though, so someone correct me if i'm wrong.

Mass effect character transfer

Hello all, I'm about to start playing Mass Effect today, going to play through the trilogy again! This time, all on PC. I never bothered with the transfer of old characters previously because of 360 issues (lost saves).

Anyway, I'm wondering, when you transfer your ME1 character to ME2, can you choose a new class? Or is it going to be the same all the way through? I want to play solider in the first, adept in the second and vanguard in the third.

Thanks

Awesome, the journey has begun! A rogue specter, some random beacon that injected a vision into Shepherds mind with an ever growing pressure on becoming the first human specter. What is going on?!!?

Love this trilogies story :D

I remember doing that on the 360 so I shouldn't see why it wouldn't work on the PC.

Enjoy the best part - all downhill from there! :p

And yeah, you can change class on import.

I'm playing it as a nice guy as well. Aside from when I talk to Rex, he loves the foul mouth haha.

So, I am just about to confront the council with my proof that whats his chops is doing bad! I only threw in a few hours today. But I got side tracked and did all the side missions possible. I thought I could skip them as I just want the story. But meh, they are fun enough!

Also, started again as I wasn't enjoying the infiltrator that much. I'm playing a soldier, tis a lot of fun :)

Bump!

Just completed Mass Effect and I've moved on to ME2. I was wondering if anyone can help with a huge (first world) problem.

In ME there was a quick file edit that switched aim to toggle rather than hold. I cannot find anything other than AutoHotkey software for ME2, which I'm really not very keen on. Is there an edit that will enable this? It's basically rendering the game unplayable for me.

Cheers!

Quick 10 second google throws up the following;

To set aim mode to toggle rather than hold;
bUseSniperCam=True to the [SFXGame.SFXWeapon] section of BIOWeapon.ini
