£25 for 1 plane or like a fleet of planes?

There are free planes too, including the popular FlyByWire A320 NEO - an open source community effort.

Good quality high fidelity/study level aircraft cost though. Examples include the Aerosoft CRJ, PMDG DC-6 and Just Flight PA-28 Arrow.

Some exiting ones are in development too, such as the PMDG 737-800 and the recently announced Fenix A320 CEO.

Hey guys i got the 777-200 yesterday from the in sim store priced at £25..Shame its based on the default 747 systems but i quite like it

I read that there is a mod on Flightsim.to that adds further systems depth to this aircraft.

The model looks visually very impressive and most who have purchased this are very happy with it. It’s price reflects that it is not a ‘study level’ airliner.. which is fine. I’m not sure what all the fuss was about when it was released.

I don't expect them to be free but £25 for a plane/vehicle is more than i was expecting.

The prices are pretty much inline with aircraft in other sims sadly. Also it seems some are of dubious quality, make sure you do your homework before spending out and perhaps wait for a sale.

Alternatively collect MS Reward points, cash them in for a store voucher and then they are free for playing other games ;)

I am hoping they would be cheaper on GamePass...like a discount.

I would expect the upcoming PMDG 737-800 to be quite a bit more than that when it’s eventually released, likely in the region of £100 based on the price of their aircraft for other platforms. PMDG are often considered the gold standard. Their recent DC-6 has been referred to as a living aircraft in some reviews and the level of detail is incredible, as is the amount of love that has clearly gone into its development.

I think the price is justified given the years of development, deep systems simulation, modelling, sound sampling etc that go into it, not to mention all the documentation etc. They are effectively modelling a real aircraft quite completely for your sim.

Once you have invested in the aircraft, it will hopefully give you years of pleasure.. and learning.

I think the 737 for FSX was about £70. Probably be around the same level.

What does everyone think of the upcoming Fenix A320? I think it looks amazing and will definitely buy it. It’s going to be a big step up from the FBW A320 - which I love flying at the moment.

This video has some great screen shots:

Very promising isn't it. I've been away from serious flight simming for a couple of years but this could be my first buy with msfs. I've done a few vfr flights with default aircraft in the new sim just to get a feel but have been waiting to make jump from P3D once we have some decent tubeliners. Used to flying with pmdg737/777/majestic dash 8. Tempted to a get a small prop first, again, just to get back into it.

The Fenix looks great to be honest, wonder if they will also be doing a neo.

One thing that bugs me is that in VR the standard 320 (same model as FBW alas) doesn't look right... while it looks ok in 2D in 3D the overall scale is a bit off, all the knobs and levers look wrong etc. The screenshots of the Fenix all look really accurate and apparently they have a dev specifically focused on VR for it which is promising.

I had a quick browse of their blog on the FMS and it was pretty impressive the level of attention they are paying.

I'll doubtless pick it up just to see how good it is. If the failures are accurately modelled it could actually be useful!

Lol, maybe he wants to play on the 26th to remind himself of the perf before updating in the 27th!

I’m amazed how little info is out there from the testers, haven’t seen anyone posting about it… normally there’s at least someone dropping hints despite NDA!
