Anyone having issues or have had expereince with MSFS constantly loosing connection during a session?

This is not temporary or recent but seems an ongoing bug with MSFS.

It is intermittent, sometimes happens and doesn't but not local machine or network.

Connectivity seems an ongoing issue, I have it some sessions, i've jsut learned to ignore it and it (most of the time) goes away.
 
It's maddening, its been dragging on for years this problem where it looses connection. I can't believe its been overlooked officially as there are plenty of reports about it.
 
I've only really noticed connectivity issues around the last major update a few weeks ago and it was due to MS/Asobo servers not being able to keep up with demand. All fine now thought.

The one issue I had earlier this week was were the sim seemed to switch itself to offline mode [GENERAL OPTIONS / DATA / ONLINE FUNCTIONALITY had set itself to OFF]. Figured out what was wrong after a little head scratching.

yep, happened twice today, short flights too (approx 45 mins).

Does anyone know why the A310 doesnt load flight plans automatically? i am bored to load manually waypoints.
 
Hi I recently had to do a format to my PC but left the massive FS2020 295 GB install intact on its own SSD, its the store version of the sim not Steam one.

Can I get away with using it again without having to install it all afresh? Is this advisable? Thanks
 
You'll have to install the Store app (the small around 1GB bit) but when that runs and says it has the whole lot to install just point it at the existing install. Worked for me in the past.
 
Anyone notice any issues with trim with certain aircraft? I tend to fly either the VL-3 or the DA42 when trundling round vfr, and I can only say that since the last couple of updates trim on the DA42 seems to be totally broken. It’s starts off fine but eventually I need to dial in about 30 or 40 degrees of trim to fly straight and level. The VL3 doesn’t exhibit this behaviour and neither does the C152. I need to test with other low and slow ac.

I’ve checked that auto trim and AP are off, and disconnected other controllers (I fly with a CH Fighterstick which is calibrated correctly). As far as I can tell there isn’t any daft loading going on, so the ac should be correctly balanced.

I bought the cheaper version of the Reno pack, such that I'd have a Mustang and an L39, can't say that I was that impressed.
More recently, bought the P38, which I rather like.

Already have the F14 on DCS, so seemed a bit pointless.

I don’t think you would be able to re-use that. There are many dependant files that reside outside the main directory, probably registry entries too.

You are best just re-installing again. The good news is that the store version syncs every single setting, and that takes much of the pain out of it. Even the control profiles are saved!

All you have to do is re-download the world updates etc from the content manager and then re-install your third party add ons.

It was quite a painless experience when I did it. Within about 30mins of completing the install. I had re-installed Fenix, PMDG, FSLTL and Navigraph and re-dropped my favourite scenery into the community folder.

Well, its been working fine for over a week this way now.
